Cyclone Alfred Update - Hill HealthWise

We are watching the Bureau of Meteorology and warnings for the Gold Coast and Cyclone Alfred.

At this stage we are remaining open for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday this week, however, we will be closely watching the Bureau, the Get Ready Qld website and the City of Gold Coast Dashboard, https://dashboard.goldcoast.qld.gov.au/ for updates on "What you need to know about Tropical Cyclone Alfred, March 2025".

If you have an appointment booked for one of these days that we need to cancel in the event that we close, we will advise you via sms and call you about any booked appointments to reschedule.

We encourage you to consider your risk at this time and let us know if you already want to reschedule an appointment you may have for later this week - the more notice we can have to plan around, the better for you- and for us.

🌟 We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Lauren McKay to our team commencing January 2024! 🌟

🩺 With a passion for women's health, Dr. Lauren brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to our practice.

Getting to know Dr. Lauren:
Dr Lauren is a GP/Rural Generalist who graduated from the University of Wollongong in 2015. She completed her junior doctor years with Gold Coast Health before undertaking additional specialty training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Emergency Medicine throughout various Southeast QLD Hospitals. She found her passion for General Practice and went on to complete her specialty GP training through the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine.

Lauren enjoys all aspects of general practice, with a particular interest in women’s health and antenatal care.

Lauren also has a passion for medical education allocating some of her time as Clinical Skills Tutor at Bond University School of Medicine tutoring medical students.

Outside of the clinic, Lauren loves spending time with her two young daughters Wren and Hadley, and her two Italian Greyhounds Bruce and Bernie.
