✨ What are you manifesting? New puppy edition

We’re officially putting it out there… 2026 puppies

At Designer Oodles of Adelaide, we have planned litters for 2026 and are now welcoming applications via RightPaw for:
🤍 Mini Groodles
🤍 Cavoodles
🤍 Labradoodles

Many of our upcoming litters already have names on the waitlist, so if welcoming a puppy next year is something you’re hoping for, now is the time to start planning ahead.

A gentle reminder about how ethical breeding works 🐾
We are a small, responsible breeder. Our litters are thoughtfully planned, with the health and wellbeing of our dogs always coming first. Because of this, puppies are not available immediately, and waitlists are an important part of the process.

Our waitlist is designed for families who are genuinely ready and happy to wait for the right puppy, rather than continuing to look elsewhere. It can be disheartening when families apply, secure a place, and then move on because they find another dog sooner.

Waiting is part of the journey 🤍
Families who stay the course are rewarded with a puppy that has been carefully bred, lovingly raised, and thoughtfully matched to their home.

If you’re someone who:
✔️ Is planning ahead
✔️ Understands that quality breeding takes time
✔️ Is ready to commit to the waitlist process

We would love to hear from you.

✨ Applications for 2026 are now open via RightPaw ✨

Let’s manifest the right puppies for the right families 💫🐶

FLASHBACK!

Our very first litter of Cavoodles! How lucky we have been over the years ❤️. This litter was our first after taking a break from dog breeding for 10 years.

Looking back we have grown so much. I've learnt alot and I am very grateful for the vets, the support of other breeders, trainers and pet nutrition experts.

In the last 5 years we have whelped and raised 10 litters with 5 breeding dogs. We have had countless all nighters, trips to the vet, phone calls and messages from anxious new puppy parents who need reassurance.

We are so grateful for the support and have loved all the puppies and families we have met along the way.

Heres to 2026 and all the good things to come ✨️

Crumpet is a poster boy!

From local legend to full-blown pet superstar, Crumpet has officially won the competition and landed a spot in the Palmy’s Pet Calendar for the City of Palmerston in the Northern Territory.

When Kerrin got the email, I had to laugh — it read just like the Monopoly chance card :“You’ve won a(dog) beauty contest! Advance to GO and collect $200!” 😂

We absolutely love keeping in touch with our extended doggy families and seeing them do amazing things long after the cuddles, treats, and tail wags. So proud of you, Crumpet — truly calendar-worthy 💛

Big love to Haighs the Labradoodle — proof once again that Labradoodles are amazing fur-friends! 🐾

And how good is the recent news from Port Adelaide Football Club, welcoming 'Albert', their new Labradoodle puppy, as a future therapy dog for the club 🖤⚡️ Albert is already winning hearts around Alberton and will play an important role supporting player wellbeing as he grows into his therapy role.

Hi everyone, Honey here 🐾
I’ve officially moved into my lovely guardian home, and let me tell you… I’m already living my best life!

I have two little girls to play with every day, and they keep me very busy with games, cuddles, and adventures.

My new family has so much love to give, and I’m learning all about what it means to be part of a guardian home. It’s such a special opportunity — I get to grow up in a family environment while still being part of the Designer Oodles of Adelaide program. Guardian homes really are the best of both worlds.

A huge thank you to Jasmine and Ben for joining us and welcoming me into your home 💕

Love,
Honey 🍯

Betty Sue has been home with big sister Frankie while Mum’s at work, keeping Dad company as he works from home. Missing Mum, but staying settled and cool through the heat.

Heatwave reminders for pet safety:
• Keep dogs indoors and cool
• Fresh water available at all times
• Avoid walking on hot surfaces
• No unnecessary grooming — Dad is officially banned from haircuts ;)

Looking after our pets is essential in hot weather

Today is Tessa’s 4th birthday, and it feels especially emotional as we reflect on her journey.

About three months ago, Tessa went to live with Frankie, her Bordoodle daughter, and Frankie’s wonderful family. It wasn’t a quick or easy change—it was a long, intentional transition, supported by constant communication and regular updates every step of the way.

Seeing Tessa now—happy, settled, and living alongside Andi and her family—brings both comfort and emotion. As breeders, we couldn’t ask for a better outcome. Knowing she is loved and thriving reassures us that this decision was the right one, even though it was incredibly hard.

What many people don’t realise is that ethical breeding isn’t all fun and games. It’s not just puppies and joyful moments—it’s responsibility, difficult decisions, and balance. We also want—and deserve—to have a life, to be present for our children, and to maintain a healthy household for both our family and our dogs. Sometimes, that means we do have to rehome a dog, even when it breaks our hearts.

Our goal is always to keep our dogs with us, place them in trusted guardian homes, or ensure they are rehomed thoughtfully and ethically. What we try very hard to avoid is rehoming adult dogs—but life, pack dynamics, and individual needs don’t always allow for perfect scenarios. Keeping every dog forever is not always realistic or fair—to the dogs or to our family.

Rehoming an adult dog is emotionally exhausting. These dogs are part of our family, and letting go is deeply painful. But ethical breeding means putting the dogs first, even when it hurts. It means understanding the dynamics of dogs and recognising when a different environment will better serve their happiness and well-being.

Seeing Tessa where she is now—safe, loved, and truly at home—reminds us why these difficult choices matter. It’s deeply bittersweet, but it’s also a reflection of the care, ethics, and responsibility that go into doing this the right way.

There’s something magical about the bond between children and animals

A dog isn’t just a pet in childhood — they’re a best friend, a secret-keeper, a protector, and a constant source of unconditional love. From muddy paws and scraped knees to quiet moments of comfort, dogs often shape our earliest memories of kindness, loyalty, and joy.

Many of us grew up with a dog who waited by the door, followed us everywhere, or curled up beside us after a long day. Those moments stay with us for life and often teach us empathy, responsibility, and how to love without limits.

Take a moment today to remember your childhood dog — or the dog you wish you’d had.

Share a memory, a photo, or a story in the comments. Let’s celebrate those furry friends who helped make our childhoods unforgettable.

Piper the Labradoodle at Adelaide Beaches – Last Year’s Memories

These photos of Piper the labradoodle were taken last year during some beautiful days at Adelaide’s beaches. She loved the sand, the fresh sea air, and exploring the shoreline — such lovely memories 📸
(Photos shown are from last year, prior to current conditions.)

With the recent algae bloom affecting parts of the South Australian coastline, SA authorities are recommending extra care when visiting beaches:

* Avoid entering discoloured or foamy water
* Keep distance from sea foam or deceased marine life
* Leave the area if you notice irritation to eyes, skin, or breathing
* Dogs should be kept out of affected water and rinsed with fresh water if needed

Adelaide’s beaches are still a beautiful place to enjoy, with a little extra awareness helping to keep people and pets safe.
