Today is R U OK? Day– a gentle reminder to check in with the people around us.

This is Alfie, he is from our beautiful Maggie and is pictured here with his special human, Miss P. Alfie is such an important part of their family — always nearby with cuddles, tail wags, and quiet comfort.

Dogs like Alfie can bring a sense of calm, connection, and companionship — and sometimes, just having a furry friend by your side can make a big difference in someone’s day.

Congratulations to Jessica Ellen on the wonderful news — Daisy is going to be a big sister to a little human! 👶🐾

While our announcements usually feature four-legged mums-to-be, this is a truly special moment for us to share. Daisy, one of our cherished Guardian girls, is about to take on an exciting new role in her family — and we couldn’t be more delighted.

In time, it will be Daisy’s turn for her own special announcement, but for now, we celebrate this beautiful new beginning for her and her family.

🐾 **Life Update from Daisy the AustralianLabradoodle!** 🐾

Big changes for our girl Daisy! 🏡 She’s just moved house and is officially flying solo after leaving her sister Nala behind with her dog mum mikayla. It’s a whole new world without her sidekick, but Daisy is handling it like the confident queen she is 👑✨

She’s been exploring her new home with her signature happy trot, making fast friends with every human and bird within sniffing distance. 🐦💁‍♀️ She’s also just had her *first season* (our little girl is growing up! 😭), and she’s tipping the scales at a very healthy 14 kilos of curly cuteness! 🐩💪

Daisy is loving her new adventure — and let’s be honest, she’s enjoying being the center of attention! 🎉

**Posie update!**
Our girl is almost 6 months old now and a solid 8 kilos of fluff, zoomies, and personality. She’s growing into a small-to-medium Australian Labradoodle with a big love for playtime—and an even bigger dislike of being herded by enthusiastic kelpies at the dog park (can you blame her?).

Sundays are reserved for football on the couch, but I suspect Posie’s loyalty might lie more with the local birdlife than any team on the field. She’s a little shadow with a big heart, and we’re loving every minute of watching her grow.

At Designer Oodles of Adelaide, the health and wellbeing of our dogs always come first. As ethical breeders, we carefully assess every dog in our program to ensure they are physically and emotionally fit to become parents — because every decision we make is about doing right by our dogs and the families they become part of.

This week, our beautiful merle Bordoodle, Charlie, was desexed after thoughtful consideration and veterinary advice. While she’s an absolute sweetheart with a wonderful temperament, it was determined that she wasn’t the right fit for breeding. Her health and happiness are our top priorities, and we’re proud to say she will now enjoy a full, joyful life as a much-loved family pet in her guardian home.

Sadie, another one of our special girls, recently had a vet check that revealed an issue with one knee. She’ll need surgery to keep her comfortable and active. This is exactly why we take hips and knees so seriously — we want every one of our puppies to have the best possible start to life, and that starts with healthy parents.

Charlie and Sadie may not be mums, but they are still treasured members of our extended family. They’re living their best lives in loving homes, bringing joy and companionship, which at the end of the day is what it’s all about.

Our sweet twins, Jemima and Peter, turned three weeks old last Saturday — the final groodle pups from our beautiful girl Sally, who will be desexed in a few months. These two have been absolutely *thriving* on milk — so much so that I honestly worried they might never be able to walk — they were *literally* that fat! But slowly and surely, they're finding their feet, and it's the most heartwarming thing to witness.

They are everything we could’ve dreamed of for Sally’s last litter — full of personality, chubby charm, and already stealing hearts. We’re cherishing every moment with them.

Applications are now open via RightPaw — and we can’t wait to see where their next chapter will be.

*Happy 1st Birthday to our beautiful Bridgerton litter!**

One year ago today, a very special group of standard groodles came into the world—and what a year it’s been! From those first wobbly steps to zoomies in the backyard, puppy school, beach adventures, couch cuddles, and possibly even a few chewed shoes… it’s been a big, love-filled journey.

We’re so proud of the clever, gentle, and goofy dogs they've grown into, and we’re incredibly grateful to all the wonderful families who welcomed them into their homes. Thank you for keeping us updated with your stories and photos—it means the world to still be part of their lives!

**And the next chapter begins…**
