Meet Kate, the dynamic Founder and CEO of Create Disability Services! A true visionary, she has built this organisation from the ground up, demonstrating her unwavering dedication to fostering growth within her team.

Kate is a hands-on powerhouse, diving into every aspect of running a positive business. She juggles day-to-day management, creates her own policies and procedures, manages compliance safeguarding, trains, mentors and supports her team, handles accounting, and even designs the company website, talk about multitasking! Kate is actively involved in all intake referrals and personally supports clients in the field. Her commitment to her company, clients, providers she is engaged with and employees is evident in everything she does.

It’s not every day that you find a small company crafting its own policies and procedures. But Kate felt this would give her organisation an innovative and personal touch, allowing it to stand out from the crowd of generic documents used to kick-start operations. When we say she has built this company from scratch, we truly mean it! Each policy has been individually typed and formatted to reflect her vision for Create Disability Services (and yes, a lot of caffeine was definitely consumed in the process).

Known for her vibrant personality and deep empathy, Kate goes above and beyond to ensure her clients and employees feel valued and supported. She inspires those around her to dream big and make their aspirations a reality.

With extensive qualifications and rich experience in the disability sector, out-of-home care, and community work, Kate excels in conducting comprehensive, evidence-based assessments. Her passion lies in safeguarding vulnerable individuals while providing essential support for complex physical and mental health needs.

Kate’s steadfast commitment to improving the lives of individuals with diverse and complex disabilities shines through in everything she does. She is not your typical coffee date networker; instead, Kate connects with services based on their word-of-mouth reputation and proactive marketing of their specialties. Understanding that no one person excels at everything, she focuses on locating the right fit for her clients. Approachable and genuine, Kate enjoys meeting new people and fostering a welcoming environment for meaningful conversations.

🌷🐰 Easter Shenanigans at Create Disability Services!

Happy Easter from all of us at Create Disability Services! Get ready for a tale of intense competition and belly laughs as we dive into our wild team antics this holiday!

Kiki, paraded in her sparkly bunny ears, decided this year to host the ultimate Easter Egg Hunt Showdown. “May the best team win!” she declared, arms raised high like a championship trophy. Charmaine whipped up an enormous batch of festive treats, but the real challenge was hiding them from the eagle-eyed competitors. It didn’t take long for the bickering to start!

Lauren and Meagan took things to the next level by going head-to-head in an epic battle for "The Most Epic Easter Basket." Lauren loaded hers with chocolate bunnies wearing sunglasses, while Meagan countered with a basket shaped like a giant egg, stuffed to the brim with candy to be used as bribery in getting votes from the crowd. “Watch out, Lauren! Mine is about to get a global reputation for being legendary!” she called.

Meanwhile, Kerrie was busy getting the office grooving with her best bunny dance moves, challenging anyone brave enough to join her on the dance floor. She was shaking her tail feather, declaring, “If you can’t beat my moves, you won’t get any chocolate!” Kelsie, inspired by her moves, rushed to craft decorations that would leave everyone in awe.

Not to be outdone, Lilli rolled out her famed home-cooked delights, which included surprisingly strong "bunny-flavored" cupcakes. She warned everyone, “These might give you a sugar rush so wild you’ll think you’re winning!” Kirsten was hot on the trail for the biggest chocolate bunny, plotting her moves, while Lodia and Saraya teamed up like a duo of secret agents, whispering strategies to ensure they didn’t miss a single chocolate find.

Shabnam strutted into the room wearing a festive bunny outfit that actually sparked a mini fashion show, with Marianne positioned on the sidelines, perfecting her dance moves with confidence. Then she bounced onto the dance floor and delivered her best “Legally Blonde” dance routine, causing the team to burst into fits of laughter.

Alexandra was organising the ultimate Easter movie marathon fittingly entitled “Bunny Films Gone Wild!” as Kate hid eggs in every possible nook and cranny, including the infamous “eggs-in-the-coffee-pot” hiding spot that became the talk of the office. “Good luck finding those!” she giggled to anyone within earshot.

As tensions rose and the competition intensified, everyone was having the time of their lives, and deep down, we all knew we were the real winners—together as a wild, competitive family of egg hunters and candy lovers.

With a special shoutout to our newest team member set to join us soon, we can only imagine the additional chaos and fun ahead!

Wishing you an Easter filled with laughter, chocolate, and all the joyous moments that make our hearts smile. Can’t wait to hear the hilarious stories when we gather back together on the 22nd!

Australia Day is a time for us to celebrate our great nation.

We are a country more blessed than most, a country that hasn’t just been lucky, but has made its own luck, through our collective spirit of freedom, respect, fairness and equality of opportunity.

Through our rich Indigenous heritage, coupled with successive waves of migrants that have come far and wide to build a better life, we have created a peaceful and prosperous nation.

It is this time that to reflect and respect that we are all shaped by our own experiences, and we celebrate living in a nation where everyone’s views, beliefs and contributions are valued.

It is our day to be marked and celebrated in your own way.
