Growing up before there was computer, mobile phones snd online streaming means parents needed to find games or activities to entertain the kids. My parents decided jigsaw puzzles 🧩 were reasonably cheap and could be played over and over again.

I still love playing with jigsaw puzzles today - the physically ones not the online version. I find it calming, improves mind focus, and accepting that you don’t have to finish it at one go. It’s a mindfulness practice and can get the whole family involved (although the cats tends to be more disruptive then helpful) 😂

This 1000 pieces puzzle costs $5 from the op shop. Took us a couple of weeks to complete. And the satisfaction that came when we put down the last piece was completely worth it.

Sometimes it’s the little thing, simple activity that helps bring calmness and clarity into our life, and improve our mental wellbeing.

Life Source is the centre for natural fertility care in North Sydney. Our pre-natal classes are conducted by teachers who specialise in pregnancy care. Our natural health clinic have therapists who specialise in pre and post conception care. They include naturopath, massage therapist, bowen therapist and acupuncturists who support many women through their pregnancies.
