🌧️❄️ Cold, Wet, and Absolutely Worth It! 🌄

Marnie and I decided to escape Bathurst today and head out to the iconic Three Sisters in Katoomba.
✅ Freezing our butts off
✅ Braving the rain
✅ Soaking in the breathtaking views

Even with the weather doing its best to test us, the scenery did not disappoint. There’s something magical about those misty cliffs and dramatic clouds rolling over the Blue Mountains.

Now off to warm up with a nice lunch — preferably somewhere with heating and a good hot drink! ☕🍲

Meet Marnie 👋
Marnie suffered a Stroke/Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) in 2014 and spent 15 months in ICU/ hospital recovering, where she underwent extensive rehabilitation to learn how to walk, talk, eat etc.
10 years later and look at her now!! ⭐️

Marnie’s goals are to improve her balance and increase her total body strength to assist with daily activities and horse riding. She has been doing weekly sessions with her exercise physiologist Nicole since Oct 2023 which includes a mix of weights, balance, coordination and reformer Pilates (her favourite). Marnie has improved in all these areas and is now tackling the treadmill and is increasing her speed and incline each session 💪

Outside of sessions, Marnie competes in Para Equestrian events and has added another trophy to her collection earlier this month with the 2023 ESNW in Para/ Equibility and Virtus.

Marnie’s hilarious sense of humour and ongoing positivity makes our week here at Studio Benefit. Her advice for anyone thinking of starting exercise is to “do your best each day” and “don’t worry about what you think it will be like, just do it”!! 🙌
