A Little Bit About the Start of My Journey ✨

At the end of high school and throughout university, I relied heavily on alcohol to numb the depression and anxiety I was experiencing. During first year of university I was diagnosed with depression and started on medication. Despite the warnings against drinking while on antidepressants, I found myself drinking most of the week, eating unhealthily and skipping class to lay in bed all day. Playing varsity volleyball was the one activity and wellness my body was exposed to, I was truly healthy.

Fast forward to the end of my time at Uni, I decided to get off my antidepressants and move to Australia. After about a year and a half in Aus, I sought help again, and my new doctor put me back on medication. But deep down, I knew I didn’t want to depend on them forever.

I had a scary wake-up call when my health took a serious turn for the worse. I quickly realised that healing had to start from within, beginning with my gut health. Within two weeks of focusing on a healthy diet—eliminating the bad and embracing the good—I was able to come off my antidepressants!! That was five years ago, and I haven’t looked back since. My mood stabilised, and I no longer felt the swings of emotions consume me.

Life isn’t always sunshine and rainbows, but it’s a testament to the power of taking charge of your health. If you’re ready to make a change and embark on a journey towards a healthier, happier you my messages are a safe space to open up 🤍

It’s not normal to feel like s**t.. our bodies were designed to thrive. My mission is to help you feel good again… even if it’s just one person!

Now I get to enjoy a glass of wine every now and again without going into a deep spiral!

As I was unwinding this evening with a warm shower, I took a moment to revisit this thought:

Stepping out of a shower isn't just about cleanliness; it's a renewal of the mind. With each droplet of water, we wash away the stresses of the day, emerging refreshed and rejuvenated.

Today was challenging, lots of unexpected events were happening out of my control. Putting me in uncomfortable positions. However, using the tools I have learned over the last few months helped me navigated the situations better!

A little dose of normal after nourishing my body with lots of good food today ✨

In today’s world, it’s easy to feel pressured by the societal standards that surround us. Everywhere we look, we’re subtly told that we should tweak, change, or enhance ourselves to fit a certain mold. But the truth is, you are enough just as you are 🤍

External beauty is just one facet of who we are; it’s the inner qualities, the character, the intelligence, and the way we treat others that truly define us!

It’s genuine health and well-being start from within. Nourishing our bodies with the right foods, thoughts, and practices is important.

It’s not merely about looking good on the outside, but feeling amazing and thriving on the inside.

There’s no harm in wanting to present our best selves to the world, but let’s not equate our self-worth with external validation.

This is a reminder, our real value lies in our actions, our resilience, our compassion, and the positive impact we make on those around us!!

A moment of reflection this morning! I am so proud of what I have accomplished during the last 30 days 🎉

For a consistent 30 days, I:

•Started my day at 5:00 am.
•Prioritised morning activities, whether that was yoga, a dog walk, or some stretches.
•Drank my celery juice.
•Started my days with nutritious smoothies.

Even with a jam-packed schedule iykyk, especially towards the end, I stayed true to my commitment!!

It wasn’t about desire; it was about dedication to my 30-day promise. Here I would like to make a public declaration to finish the rest of 2023 prioritising my goals!

•Doing something out of my comfort zone everyday
•Show up for my online health + wellness program everyday and help 23 more woman up level their health!
•Do 25 Squats a day-increasing by 5 each month (this will be a challenge as my physical fitness I’m very weak but I have to start some where)
•Continue to flood my body with goodness (especially during the holidays to balance all the festivities)

How we approach a single task often mirrors our approach to life! Taking shortcuts might be tempting, but every step has value, and so do you!

No matter where you are or what direction you’re headed in, give it your absolute best.

Begin with simple daily rituals, and witness the positive ripple effect in your life.
