It is world Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) Day

I am sharing the Australian Physiotherapy Associations (APA) infographics on what FND is and why it is so important that we raise awareness of one of the most commonly diagnosed yet most poorly understood neurological conditions.

15-20% of all Australian neurological outpatient presentations are due to FND and it is the 2nd most common diagnosed neurological condition.

The success in treating FND is well understood to be attributed to a cohesive multidisciplinary team, which includes physiotherapists. If you’d like more information on this, have encountered or are living with FND comment below of send a DM for more information and resources

Thanks to our National Chair of the Neurology group Dharsha Petrie APAM MACP and Rielan Newell APAM for their help in putting this infographic together.
