⚠️ Public Health Alert: PA Hospital ⚠️

A Public Health Alert has been issued for parts of Brisbane in relation to the confirmed case of COVID-19 from Princess Alexandra Hospital.

Any individuals who have been in the below locations during the relevant times are asked to immediately home quarantine (until March 25 – 14 days from March 11) and call 13HEALTH (13 43 25 84). Contact tracers are also currently contacting people based on details provided by the venues.

📍 Thursday 11 March – 2pm-3:15pm – Morning After Café, cnr Vulture & Cambridge St, West End

📍 Thursday 11 March – 5:45pm-7:00pm – Corporate Box Gym, East Brisbane, 368A Logan Road, Greenslopes

📍 Thursday 11 March – 6:30pm-7:45pm – Stones Corner Hotel, 346 Logan Road, Stones Corner

Further information is being obtained on the Corporate Box Gym and Stones Corner Hotel venues and the risk assessment may be updated.

⚠️ Low Risk Venue - The below low risk venue is where it has been assessed there is a low risk of exposure to COVID-19. People who attended this venue at the relevant time are asked to monitor their health and immediately get tested if they get any COVID-19 symptoms.

📍 Thursday 11 March – 3:10am-3:20am – McDonalds drive through, 235 Old Cleveland Road, Coorparoo

Those who are close contacts will be contacted directly by Queensland Health.

🏥❌ In addition to identifying the above locations, Queensland Health has also announced that all non-essential visits to hospitals, residential aged care facilities, disability accommodation services and correctional facilities in Greater Brisbane will cease. This will be effective from noon today and reviewed Tuesday.

😷 Anyone attending these facilities in Greater Brisbane, including staff, must wear a mask. People will still be able to visit their loved ones who are at end of life.

Greater Brisbane includes:
• City of Brisbane
• City of Ipswich
• Logan City
• Moreton Bay Region
• Redland City.

It is important to:
👉 Stay home if you are sick
👉 If you have any COVID-19 symptoms, no matter how mild, get tested
👉 Stay 1.5 metres away from other people—think two big steps
👉 Wash your hands with soap and water, or hand sanitizer
👉 Leave the location if it is crowded.

⚠️ Public Health Alert: Queensland ⚠️

Queensland Health is asking anyone who has arrived in Queensland from New Zealand since 14 January 2021, including on green corridor flights, to get tested and quarantine until you receive a negative test result.

This comes after New Zealand recorded a confirmed positive COVID-19 case in a returned traveller who tested positive after completing 14 days of hotel quarantine. The woman has since visited a number of locations in New Zealand.

The woman is confirmed to have the South African variant of COVID-19, which is more contagious than previous variants.

We are urging anyone who has returned from New Zealand to get tested immediately, even if you do not have symptoms and to quarantine until you receive a negative result.

Contact tracing is currently underway by New Zealand Health authorities.

BREAKING: Immediate changes to COVID restrictions.

A cleaner working at a Brisbane quarantine hotel has tested positive for the UK strain of COVID-19.

The Chief Health Officer has ordered immediate steps to protect vulnerable members of the community.

Restrictions now apply to the Metro North, Metro South and West Moreton Hospital and Health Service regions.

• No visitors to aged care
• No visitors to hospitals
• No visitors to disability accommodation
• No visitors to prisons or youth detention centres

Anyone with symptoms is urged to get tested.

A 24-hour fever clinic is operating at 51 McKechnie Drive, Eight Mile Plains.
