Isaac has become very good at greetings — here he is thanking the RACQ mechanic for fixing his car. So one of Isaac’s big goals is to have two-way conversations with people in the community.
Isaac's team is working hard to support him to not just quick greetings, but genuine back-and-forth chats where stories are shared, questions are asked, and people connect. 💬❤️
Thanks to our Service for One model, we’re able to focus deeply and consistently on goals like this. Because Isaac’s team is built just for him, we can:
✅ Take the time to understand how he communicates
✅ Build communication into everyday moments — not just formal sessions
✅ Track what works (and what doesn’t) across shifts using shared systems
✅ Train and support the team to use tools like Pictello consistently
✅ Celebrate wins and adjust strategies together as a team
✨ This kind of progress is much harder — and more expensive — to achieve with a team of independent contractors.
Why?
Here’s why:
❌ Contractors often don't work well in teams - they prefer independence
❌ No obligation to attend training or use consistent strategies
❌ Focus is often on hours worked, not outcomes achieved
❌ Higher hourly cost than well-supported employees — with less impact
In contrast, our Service for One model creates a coordinated, committed, and cost-effective team. And that makes all the difference.
We know Isaac’s getting closer to his goal when:
🔁 He initiates or continues a conversation
🧍♂️🧍♀️ Community members respond with interest
🏞️ It happens in everyday places — cafés, shops, walks
🙌 He needs less support and more confidence each time
This is what real inclusion looks like.
Not just getting through the day — but being heard, understood, and connected.
