My mind has been absolutely blown, and on only day 1 of the Kinesiology Conference in Melbourne!
The voices in our head.
Have you ever repeated a phrase to yourself that someone told you in the past?
Perhaps it’s something like
“You don’t know what you are talking about” or
“You should be ashamed of yourself”
or even “you’ll never learn”.
This then changes from the “you” statement that we were told, to an “I” statement in our head. “I don’t know what I’m talking about.” “I’ll never learn”.
And then what happens?
We doubt ourselves, feel shame, have learning difficulties etc etc.
Sound familiar?
There is an area in our brain called the Wernicke’s area, and in the right side of our brain, words that are spoken to us, or around us, particularly from someone in authority such as a parent or a teacher, can have command value.
Those negative words can have a prolific effect upon our core view of self and how we perform in life, as they get ‘played back’ like a recording, and can then become our self talk and programming.
Tonight, we were shown a technique that unlocks the ability to open and ‘overwrite’ the stored patterns, and create new patterns to cancel out the old ones.
This can help alleviate issues like anxiety, fear, or self doubt, and promote overall well-being.
It can be life changing.
