My 14 year old daughter has put her hand up to save my life by donating some of her stem cells save others today joining the register if I had a 100% match I would have 75% survival unfortunately 50% survival is all I have with this type of transplant

Finally a little update it’s been like 2 years since I last posted anything. Im doing good and most importantly still in full remission, no major issues my iron levels and liver function are always bad but not bad enough for any treatments. I have a few issues like pins and needles in my feet i get hot and cold flushes my lungs hurt from having bad pleurisy etc but all in all I’m very happy and thankful for everyday I get.
I started a new roofing business 2 years ago and life is good sometimes my life feels better now(never thought I’d say that)😊

I was diagnosed in 2019 with leukemia aml (inversion 16) cbf m4eo and blast cells of 44% I relapsed in 2020 after 9 months chemo and finally received my bone marrow transplant in 2020 my donor was my amazing daughter at only 14 years old🥹 iv had no gvhd whatsoever and not on any tablets anymore.

Just like a lot of you out there my cancer journey has been hard, nothing short of a war. iv had to do this twice now, iv had like 50+ blood transfusions, 10 rounds of chemo, 20+ bone marrow biopsys, 8 rounds of total body radiation, I ended up addicted to fentanyl in hospital (that was hard) and at times my treatment wasn’t working the thought of my own mortality was all I could think about, to the point where I wrote letters to all my kids and partner etc. scary stuff but it did get better and I’m alive heathy and happy.

I get a lot of happiness from talking to and helping others in a similar situation so don’t be afraid to message me or share this with anyone going through cancer treatment. When I was diagnosed talking with people who have been down this rd helped me a lot. Google isn’t your friend trust me you only read mostly bad things on google.

Good luck to everyone merry Christmas and I wish you all a long happy cancer free life ❤️😊

Thought I’d do a little update for anyone interested I just got all my results back 2 year post transplant bone marrow biopsy for my Leukemia, and I’m soo excited to say I’m in full molecular remission.😊 The news was that good I decided to take 2 of my kids to Sydney for a few days.. I’m unbelievably grateful and feel blessed to still be alive and with my family can’t believe my own daughter did this for me..
Never give up people even if you relapse it’s not the end if somebody told me I’d be alive and in remission today when I relapsed I’d say they were crazy. (God is good100%)One question to anyone that has dealt with this how do you fix pins and needles in your feet? Iv been suffering so bad since cemo sometimes I can’t sleep because of it and the dr has absolutely no idea what can be done😔 but all in all I’m doing better then ever expected ❤️👍
my liver is a little bad getting a few test and my platelets are always low but it’s not that bad
