Do you find yourself waking up exhausted, even if you got enough sleep?

If so, there’s a high chance the quality of your sleep isn’t quite where it should be and in particular, deep sleep.

Here are 3 ways to increase your deep sleep.

1. Go to bed at the same time every night. Our circadian rhythms work like clockwork (literally). By going to bed at the same time every night, you’re not missing the opportunity for your hormones and neurotransmitters to put you into that sweet, deep sleep.

2. Don’t eat too close to bed time. If our digestive systems are working too hard, this makes it difficult to get into deep sleep.

3. Manage stress levels. Meditation and other relaxation techniques can help us get slip into a deeper sleep.

Why do we use Taurine in our product Better Sleep?

High performance and sleep go hand in hand, here’s why.

A lack of sleep has been shown to compromise your physical exhaustion by 15-30%.
On top of that, we know that if we’re not getting adequate sleep, we’re more likely to build up lactic acid in our muscles faster, and sweat less.

Are you a morning or an evening person?

Genetically, we generally fall into one of these two categories, and knowing which category you fall into can help ensure you get the best sleep possible!

If you’re morning person, generally speaking you’re going to have an easier time ensuring you get a good nights sleep as you’re more in sync with the cadence of the sun.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you’re an evening person, going to bed late and waking up late makes things a little more tricky.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here’s what we suggest;
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- Ensure your room is as dark as possible. You’re going to be trying to sleep while the sun is up in the morning, so utilising blackout curtains will really help.
- Have a really solid wind down routine to ensure your brain and body knows when it’s time to start releasing Melatonin.
- Mimic the sun going down with the lights in your house. Ensure they are dim in the final hours before you go to sleep.
