🐾 We need your help – Night Out for the Cats! 💖

Peninsula Cat Rescue is about to be overflowing with cats and kittens who need food, vet care, and loving homes. Every dollar raised keeps them safe – but we can’t do it alone.

So, we’re turning a night at the movies into a chance to save lives. Join us for a special screening of A Big Bold Beautiful Journey – a film about heart, courage, and connection – and help give our rescue cats the same chance at a big, bold, beautiful life.

🕖 Time: 6PM for a 6:30PM movie start

As of 19 May 2025, the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) has introduced a significant change to how participant funding is distributed. New and reassessed NDIS plans will now feature shorter funding periods, typically set at three months, instead of the previous 12-month standard.  

This adjustment aims to provide participants with greater flexibility and improved budget management. By allocating funds in shorter intervals, the NDIS seeks to ensure that participants have regular access to their supports, reducing the risk of overspending and enhancing the overall sustainability of the scheme.

It’s important to note that this change does not affect the total amount of funding a participant receives over the duration of their plan; rather, it modifies the timing of fund availability. The implementation of these shorter funding periods will be gradual and will apply only to new or reassessed plans developed after 19 May 2025. Participants will be engaged in discussions to tailor the funding periods to their individual needs and circumstances.
