“Agapao” is a Greek word and it means to welcome, to entertain, to be fond of and to love dearly. I chose it as a name for my counselling services because it encompasses all that humans desire, long for and never have enough of. Sadly, many people have not experienced love when they needed it the most - at their childhood. It created a deep hole in their emotional life. It’s hard to go on if there is something missing. Contact with a person who cares deeply about you might help to put you on the path of filling in the hole. Don’t think it’s going to be an easy path. How does that matter if the path leads to freedom and love? I have learned about love and emotions from my Catholic faith, giants in therapy like Carl Rogers, Sue Johnson or Conrad W. Baars. I have people around me who teach me how to listen, what to listen for, how to be with somebody, how to help and in general how to love. It is up to you if you want to choose Agapao Counselling or not. The main thing is do not wait but let somebody help you. Agnes Starnawski
