It’s me. Hi. I’m the problem it’s me.
We often look inward when life throws a curveball, asking ourselves: What did I do to attract this? Where did I go wrong? It’s a powerful yet tricky dance, especially for those of us who believe our environment mirrors our internal state.
This week, I faced a big one. After years of being under surveillance, being stalked, and phone messages and iCloud accounts hacked, this week, my Facebook, Instagram, and Meta accounts were hijacked way over in Nigeria. In the past, an event like this would’ve thrown me into a spin. Small triggers can feel enormous for those who’ve endured extreme trauma—hijacking the nervous system and dragging us back to square one, not just for hours but sometimes days or even weeks.
But here’s the shift: this experience became a test, not a trap. It forced me to reflect on how far I’ve come in recalibrating my nervous system and reclaiming my power. Instead of spiraling, I chose to anchor myself, reminding myself that I am not my past and these moments don’t define me.
Getting hacked on Facebook or Instagram or any violation of privacy is not our fault . It’s important to clarify that hacking is the result of someone else’s actions—malicious intent, exploitation of vulnerabilities, or just bad luck with cybercrime. However, such events can indeed serve as a test of our boundaries and how we handle external disruptions.
From a reflective or spiritual perspective, it might highlight areas where we need stronger boundaries, whether digital (like better passwords or security measures) or emotional (like how we respond to unexpected violations of trust or privacy)
So, while it’s not our fault, it can be a moment to assess:
Where do I need to create stronger boundaries?
How do I protect my energy while responding to this situation?
What can I learn about myself from the way I’m handling this?
In this way, the test isn’t about blame—it’s about growth and alignment with the boundaries we deserve to have.
Ps. This post took some time as I still haven’t rectified Insta on my desktop.
Did I mention I am still mastering patience, resilience and problem solving? 🤣🤣🤣
