🔆 Posture for sitting or standing at a desk 🔆

Correctly setting up your work space can help to prevent injuries and pain, particularly in your wrists, shoulders, lower back and hips. Here are some tips from our physios on correct posture when you are sitting / standing at a desk.

If you have the luxury of a stand up desk, it is a good idea to swap between sitting and standing throughout your day. It is also important to take a short break every 20-30 minutes to get up, walk around, stretch and reset ✨

Here are some useful tips and guidelines for returning to running after birth!

🔆 Start your journey at least 3 months postpartum.
🔆 Can you do the running test without feeling any discomfort, heaviness or pain in the pelvis or back pain, and without wetting yourself? If the answer is yes, you are ready to begin!
🔆 We recommend booking an appointment with a women’s health physio if you have access prior to starting your running journey. You can book in with our lovely Georgie for a personalised assessment from 6 weeks postpartum.
🔆 Remember, it’s a marathon, not a sprint! Build gradually and progressively as you feel comfortable. Adding some targeted pelvic floor exercises into your routine is a great way to strengthen those muscles post birth.
