The last few weeks have been a little bit tough, I've found out some difficult news for several people I love and care about. I know one thing for sure after navigating burnout, is that I need to process the emotion and keep the energy moving to release it.
When we suppress our tears or emotions, that survival energy can become stuck in our nervous system, often overwhelming it to the point we feel we have lost capacity and dropping us into dorsal vagal shutdown (also known as freeze.)
By gently taking time out to feel what we are navigating, express it through our body, through tears or hitting a pillow, or any other way that feels safe for you and safe for others, we release it and the body naturally has more capacity again.
I'd love to hear what ways help you to feel it, heal it and release it?
A few other ways can be journaling, eft tapping and or having a good ole scream out in the wild...
