🧡 Harmony Week is happening this week!
Harmony Week is a chance to celebrate the many cultures, backgrounds and stories that make our communities unique. For young people, it’s about respecting differences, learning from each other and helping create a place where everyone feels they belong.
Something as simple as starting a conversation, learning about another culture, or standing up for kindness and inclusion can make a big difference.
Let’s keep building communities where everyone feels welcome and valued.

🌟 We had a fantastic community meeting to kickstart 2026 with 35 people at SouthernCare's Pantry Club. 🌟
We heard from:
💙 Jo and Elly at the Pantry Club sharing about the history of the service, the inclusivity and accessibility for anyone to become a member, shop for veggies at no cost from the garden, for pantry items at 1/3-1/2 cost compared to a major supermarket, and the deep relationships and "grassroots" impacts they have on peoples lives.
💙 Mayor Mat Hatcher sharing his vision for the Eurobodalla, his observations, and generously holding a Q+A time including the tough topic of health access and the housing crisis.
We also spent time diving into and providing feedback on the ECSN's draft Theory of Change and draft Seasonal Themes which will be used to lightly guide our year ahead.
🌟 If you're interested in finding more about the ECSN, please reach out via msg or email steph - eurobodalla.csn@gmail.com

headspace Batemans Bay is a federally funded initiative being implemented by Coordinare, South Eastern NSW Primary Healthcare Network, in partnership with headspace National. Relationships Australia Canberra & Region, a not-for-profit service provider, has been awarded the role of lead agency to oversee the headspace service in Batemans Bay from late 2020. Following the wake of the 2019/20 Summer bushfires that impacted the wider Eurobodalla and Shoalhaven regions, the Batemans Bay headspace service was fast tracked to commence providing early intervention mental health services to young people aged 12 to 25 living in the Eurobodalla and Shoalhaven regions.
Referral is easy – young people can refer themselves by calling us on 1800 718 383 between the hours of 10am to 2pm Monday-Friday. Counselling appointments are available for booking Monday to Friday. If you are a family member, friend, or service provider and want to support a young person to get in touch with us, you can call us, complete and fax through our community referral form found online on our website or have a young person attend their local GP clinic to for referral (MHTPs are not required to access our services).
Due to Covid-19 physical distancing measures, headspace Batemans Bay currently only offers online and phone counselling services. Please stay tuned to our online accounts for updates including community engagement initiatives and the development of our centre establishment.
The headspace website also offers a wide range of national online services. Here, you can access lots of great mental health resources including group chats, online communities, interactive resources and 1:1 direct support with professionals. Watch this video to learn more about this, or visit headspace.org.au to create your own private account.
