It’s not WHAT you say but HOW you say it

Communication is the key to helping hypermobile people understand what is actually going on.

This is a clip taken from an online consult, I’m explaining to them why hypermobile people experience so much muscle tension when they have so much mobility, and what we’re going to do about it!

And I’m really letting my hands do the talking 😂

In my courses I teach practitioners how to communicate complex concepts in ways that make sense.

GOLD COAST OCTOBER 2025 ✅

In 2017 I started my Osteo career in the Gold Coast, so it was really special after all this time to bring my Level 1 Clinical Foundations of Hypermobility to Queensland.

This was an awesome group of practitioners and fitness pro’s from Melbourne, Sydney, Gold Coast, Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast 🤩 so cool to see people from all backgrounds come together to discuss concepts, experiences and ideas on how we can better help people living with EDS and HSD 🦓

This rounds out what has been an incredible year of in person and online courses, I have taught my methods to more than 50 students this year across Australia and the World 🥹 that fills my heart with joy, knowing there are more aware practitioners out there who can support and advocate for people living with EDS and HSD.

I’m looking forward to a short break from teaching and setting up for an even bigger year of LIVE Level 1 AND Level 2 courses! Thank you to all attendees this year, you’re part of the change we need and that’s awesome 💪🏽

Now the question is, where should I bring my courses to next? 👀 let me know in the comments!

Yesterday with my Alpha gals at the conference 🙌🏼

It was a great day of learning from some of the best leaders in sports medicine. Well done on putting on an awesome event to bring like minded Osteo’s together, I appreciate all the work it takes to put on an event like this, and you nailed it 👏🏼

Osteopaths as holistic allied health practitioners are so well placed to be leaders in a collaborative healthcare system. I look forward to the day where Osteopaths are not only better recognised in the world of sport, but are better recognised as EXPERTS in the healthcare industry.

🫶🏽 the more we can work together, the better our healthcare system will be Australia wide 🫶🏽

Who put that there? I can’t count how many times I’ve smashed into that door frame 😂

When you’re hypermobile, your joints often move past their normal range. This can make it harder for your brain to sense exactly where your body is in space — a skill called proprioception.

Reduced proprioception means balance and coordination can feel more challenging, especially during exercise or daily tasks (like walking through doors)

That’s why targeted strength, stability, and movement retraining are key parts of managing joint hypermobility 💪✨

Building better proprioception helps reduce injury risk and makes everyday movement feel easier.

Not sure where to start with your Hypermobile body? Let’s get started! In Newport (Melbourne) and Online anywhere in the world! 🌎
