Based and produced in Austria, Silhouette is a brand we are proud to be able to provide for our patients. Their frames are made of titanium as well as new bio circular materials, making them incredibly light, flexible and durable. Silhouette values sustainability and is constantly striving use the most eco friendly methods of production and the highest quality materials.

• 100% of the 1.3 mio kWh of green electricity generated by their on-site solar panels is used in frame production

• 100% of the electricity used at their headquarters and production site is CO2-free, saving as much CO2 as it takes 15,800 trees to capture from the atmosphere

• 140,000 litres of water is recycled daily at their production site in Austria

ODMA, YOU WERE AMAZING!

Over the weekend, we had the privilege of attending the ODMA Fair in Sydney. They had so much to showcase and it did not disappoint. From the new 3D printed eco-friendly frames from Silhouette (available in our practice soon), to the high quality styles from Cutler and Gross, and the impressive modern technology of Rayban Metas.

The weekend was full of laughter, learning and lots of walking! We are so glad to be back in the practice and eager to start utilising all that we learnt. Thanks for having us ODMA!

BURGUN & WILLIAMS TAKES ON ODMA!

The whole team (all 14 of us!) are heading to Sydney this weekend to attend the ODMA Fair, a trade fair showcasing the best of everything for the optical industry. While our optometrists are learning about all the advances in ocular health, our dispensing and styling team will be busy sourcing the latest high quality fashionable frames.

We are so excited for this wonderful opportunity and can’t wait to bring this expertise and fantastic product back to our practice!

MEET RUTHANNE

At the age of 18, Ruthanne started working in the optical industry as an Optical Dispenser, originally working with our very own Tony Burgun (in his earlier years). After many years, Ruthanne officially rejoined the Burgun & Williams team in February this year!

Ruthanne is full of joy and always on the go. When she’s not at the practice, Ruthanne is gardening, spending time with her grandkids or keeping active with a walk or a gym class. Ruthanne also has her own quilting business by the name of Ladybird Quilting.

You’ll find Ruthanne at the front desk, in the pretest room or administering special instrument tests every Monday and Tuesday. We’re lucky to have you Ruthanne!
