PLS equips early learning and primary school educators with mental wellbeing resources and programs.
Positive Living Skills offers evidence based resources lessons and programs that are mapped to existing national early childhood and primary school curriculums and support teachers schools and early learning services to teach mental wellbeing. If we collaborate we can prevent mental illness before it emerges, and teach children to be kind to themselves and others and how to look after their own mental health. Our programs also support positive behaviour strategies with resources that reach home to families.

Not every feeling needs a fix â just a safe space. đ
When we validate childrenâs emotions instead of rushing to change them, we teach them that all feelings are okay.
That they are okay.
This simple shift builds trust, emotional resilience, and stronger relationships â both at school and at home.

Book an adventure â through the pages of a story. đâ¨
Books spark imagination, build empathy, and help children explore worlds beyond their own â and sometimes, deep within themselves too.
At Positive Living Skills, we believe that every child deserves to feel safe, seen, and inspired⌠and books are a beautiful bridge to make that happen.
So letâs celebrate the magic of storytelling this Book Week â where will your next adventure take you?

Big feelings donât have to feel overwhelming.
When we help children name what theyâre feeling, we give them power over the experience â instead of feeling powerless in it.
Building these skills leads to lifelong emotional intelligence. đ

It starts with small hands and big hearts. đ
This Keep Australia Beautiful Week, weâre reminding our young learners that caring for the planet starts with everyday actions â picking up litter, respecting nature, and taking pride in the world around us.
When children learn to value their environment, they grow into adults who protect it. đż
Letâs nurture respect â for self, others, and the world we share.

An average of eight Australians take their own lives every day, and the number of young people experiencing anxiety and depression continues to rise, with the age of these diagnoses getting younger and younger.
On top of this educators are experiencing more and more burn out and are deciding to leave the profession in higher and higher numbers.
A preventative approach that supports children, educators and families is needed so that communities can thrive, and this approach must not add any additional work for teachers.
The Positive Living Skills initiative is focused on supporting Early Learning Centres and Primary School to lead a culture of emotional wellbeing in their communities.
