I love to travel 🧭 but my compass is sensitive. I get motion sickness easily and thankfully figured out how to ease it to a bearable level fairly quickly.
1. Grounding - usually at the beach 🏖️ but SYD weather yesterday hampered that idea 💡
(Swipe to video ➡️) I went barefoot walking instead.
Mostly to ground and calm@thesystem@but also the weather was so atrocious - there was no point wearing shoes just to get them soggy. ☔️
2. To back up a little - during flights or travel (I get car sick - seasick and no I do not do fun parks roller coasters 🎢 🤮)
I have ginger chews 🫚 and massage common acupuncture points to prevent projectile vomit 🤢 doesn’t stop me feeling terrible but at least I don’t vomit.
3. I stick to fluids and don’t eat much until I’m truly settled again.
4. Get to if not IN the ocean as soon as possible 🌊 luckily I’m usually not that far from it 👌🏻
If you’ve read this far 🙏🏼🥰
And yes - there were comments about being barefoot 🦶 on f you scrolled to videos… I did a grocery shop 2KM (1.24miles) away.
Nothing to prove - No one to impress… I do what I’ve learnt is good for me and barefoot walking in the rain is THE BEST 🤩👌🏻

My finger print is more about my footprint 👣 literally from the ground up - my life’s work is about inspiring clients and fellow practitioners to connect back to nature and minimalist their conveniences.

My AI created avatar at a conference a few weeks ago…
Being a ‘naturalist’ I conscious limit (some might say - avoid) technology 📵… I am a dragon for leaving my phone anywhere but with me📞
Mentioned in Wednesdays post - our bedrooms are tech free spaces.
This is a conscious choiice for health and to reduce the insidious gabit that is ‘checking’ the phone.
If it not there:
A - your body is not being affected by EMF radiation
B - Your sleep is not disturbed by notifications*
*turning OFF notifications is something I highly recommend!
C - You are more likely to read (an old fashion book 📚) or have a meaningful (uninterrupted) conversation with your partner.
D - starting this as a first step to tech boundaries and home health can lead into other healthy habits…
Or if that is a stretch…
We have ‘no clock’ days ⏰
Where the day starts slow and we venture off solewhere with no ‘catch ups’ or appointments. We explore the neighbourhood on foot or go for a drive somewhere.
Oh and yes - no tech (movies) in the car either! Yes my son complains but he gets@over it quick as he knows it’s a hard no and that will not change… even for long trips (like 12hr drives) it’s the perfect opportunity for him to get bored! Which leads to being@creative and communicative 🙌🏼
How strict are you@on tech? Would@love to hear how others manage a tech driven world and 24/7 distractions and entertainment. 📺

Day four 4️⃣
Solar & Salt powered ☀️ 🌊
My soul is definitely solar powered and my heart 💖 on salt… salty goodness of the ocean that is.
I bring this into the house too… salt lamps to prevent damp issues (currently candle 🕯️ operated)
And bedrooms are COMPLETELY tech free zones 📵🚫
Devices charged out in the kitchen
And yes - my phone alarm is set out there too ⏰
Sandy salty toes and ocean dips (luckily for me - daily) 👙 and as mentioned in the video…
The beach is such a draw card for holidays etc BECAUSE (a fun fact that is often not pondered) but ts because we experience and absorb all the elements there at the one time 💃🏼 🕺
We innately know what’s good for us… sadly we let modern living get in the way of this fact.
From day one this week 👣
Toes out into nature and even better than just that - soak up ALL the elements (esp your VitD) at the beach 🏖️
Happy Natural Medicine Week

From Day Two Story for
Make the mundane magical and dance 💃🏼
Music on to do ‘chores’… even that term ‘chore’. If I catch myself begrudging ‘having’ to do them - I pop on music 🎶 and enjoy the task with gratitude. 🙏🏼
I HAVE a space that needs cleaning 🧼
I HAVE the tools to do so🧹
I can make it fun with heart open joy 💖
Following the kitchen theme (I’ve posted before my Elixr mix) the ‘line- up’ is my currently morning start…
A dash of salt in warm water🧂 =1st cup of fluids
(after brush - floss - pull… tomorrows post 🦷)
B vitamins and energy support (under the directive and help of a qualified Naturopath) this is with a shot of coconut water 🥥 💧
A cup (or two) of Jing (I’ve never had a coffee ☕️- don’t like the smell 👃)
My ‘juvenescence’ Elixr. Think cacao chai with adaptogenic blend of Masons 🍄
( again)
All that gets me through the morning 👌🏻🥰
What’s your morning routine?

Worth the 3:30am Alarm ⏰
An Hour with Dr Peter Levine
Love love love it when modern neuroscience and ancient teachings say the same thing.
From Traditional Qigong practices I share with patients and workshop participants alike ‘The 6 Healing Sounds’ or Liu Zi Jue as the are known in traditional language.
They have been shared and practiced for approximately 1500 years!
Charles Darwin first discussed the ‘pneumogastric nerve’ (now commonly known as the Vagus nerve) in 1872 in his book ‘The Expression of the Emotions in Man’
This…
the mind-body connection has been long known. Mostly forgotten until neuroscience brought it back into flavour with the Steve Porges’ work on ‘polyvagal theory’ in 1990’s.
Which was studied and highlighted by the research of Dr Levine 🧐
He talks of trauma as an injury PTSI (the ‘o’ for injury) rather than PTSD.
Always learning and love it when you get cohesion to satisfy the sceptical when you teach something ‘alternative’.
Will be citing this source at the ATMS annual conference in Nov 🙌🏼
Yep - the 3:30am ⏰ was worth it.
Grateful 🙏🏼

I’ve shared with family and friends that it feels a lot like lockdown right now🔐
Not remembering what day it is - is real.
My life is not totally routine (day in day out the same) but even the simple routine of school drop and pick up not being done infuses confusion easily 🤪 🤷🏽♀️
We tracked and waited and it’s ‘passed’ so to speak 🌀🌊☔️
Yet we know there are flood effects to come (gotta love Pisces energy ♓️ )
Woke to small leak in bathroom - will keep an eye on that👁️. Yet I know it’s nothing compared to dear friends and connections between the Gold Coast and Ballina.
We were there in 2022 - our hearts go out to anyone whose home has been inundated by this weather. 🤗♥️💕
Be it wind 💨 a tree 🌴 🌳 or water 💦
(Scroll down to my 2022 posts about our Ballina adventure!)
Here’s to a quick passing and dissolving of the system that is still moving westerly.
