We’re incredibly proud to announce that our Director, Chathura (Chad) Dissanayake, has been recognized for his nomination for “Community Hero of the Year” at the Tasmanian Disability Awards 2024! 🌟 Beyond his role as director, Chad trains and supports around 1,000 care and social workers across Tasmania, and has pioneered impactful projects such as SRMD Free Food Services, the Red Cross Emergency Preparedness Project, and the first Dementia Friendly Café in Hobart. Our Director Chad, a senior trainer and assessor in ageing, disability, and community services, led an engaging training session for our team. The training covered essential skills including:
