Making the most of an ‘easy’ call during our last paddle before Easter. Conditions were a bit tough on the Lake tonight but nothing the crew couldn’t handle.

My cheer squad at my first regatta in Footscray last year, my kids cheering “Go Gran!” with their kids. 💛
One of the things I love about paddling is that my family see me getting out there and being active.

We are Dragons Abreast Australia – a national not for profit organisation- a community of breast cancer survivors and supporters who’ve been paddling dragon boats together for health for going on 27 years.

Born out of Canadian Sports Physiologist Dr. Don McKenzie’s groundbreaking study with proving the health benefits of dragon boating after breast cancer, our movement has grown to 29 member groups (and counting!) across the country.

💪 What we do: We paddle dragon boats.
💗 Why we do it: For health, connection, and hope.
🌊 Together, we show that life after breast cancer can be strong, joyful, and full of community.
