In 2013 Nicko, alongside his nation team The Vision Crusader Completed All 6 rides of the Ride to conquer Cancer thats over 1200kms and helped to raise over $250,000 for Cancer Research beneficiaries all over AU and NZ. Nicko Lunardi made a team in melbourne to help him on the way. those riders were Carla Lunardi, Christopher Lunardi, Lisa Cassar, Michelle Azzopardi, Nickola Hoffman, Nathan Balbo
ni and Alkan Zeybek. Most of these riders have had about the same amount of experience as I had before last years ride, so that's zero. One of those riders was his sister, Carla, who is now a mother of 2 and had not been on a bike since she was 15 also completed the melbourne 200k leg of the campaign. When Carla, was 15 and she was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma which is a form of cancer, in which cancer cells are found in the bone or in soft tissue. Carla's tumour was located in her lower back and it was about the size of an orange. She was first diagnosed in June of 1999 and she got the all clear in April 2000. Part of her treatment involved traveling to Peter Mac Monday to Friday for 6 weeks for radiation treatment. This year Carla celebrated 13 years cancer free! So Fight for My Aunt who is fought cancer, For my sister who survived, for all my friends through 'Challenge' and 'canteen' Cancer Support network who I've lost and all closes Friendships I made from such a negative disease. So, I've decided to join this brilliant cause and tackle this EPIC ride. All I need from you is a donation, and hopefully together we can see more families celebrate many more cancer free years! Your efforts and donations in support of The Ride to Conquer Cancer will benefit:
Melbourne's the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre,
Adelaide's Flinders Medical center foundation
Brisbane's Queensland Institute of Medical Research

Money raised through your participation in The Ride helps impact the lives of hundreds of thousands, as Peter Mac shares the outcomes of its work and its expertise with its patients as well as with healthcare organisations and research institutes across Australia, and around the world. .
