PVOGS : Pre-Vocational Obstetrics & Gynaecology Society - WA We will be hosting a number of educational events in 2016 focusing on career opportunities in Obstetrics & Gynaecology as well as examination preparation.

The official WA affiliate of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) for students and prevocational doctors interested in pursing a career in women's health. Our society aims to:
- Provide student members who aspire to be a Obstetricians and Gynaecologists or GP/Obstetricians with guidance and direction in relation to clinical pathways and opportunities in the field;
- Promote the understanding of the necessary prerequisites for a career in obstetrics and gynaecology and various obstetrics and gynaecology subspecialties;
- Provide opportunities to engage with and form professional relationships with practicing clinicians, and
- Provide avenues for focused professional training and educational opportunities.

The Pre-Vocational Obstetrics & Gynaecology Society (PVOGS) is the official and only national affiliate of the Royal Australian College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) committed to expanding knowledge, skills and interest in the field of Obstetrics, Gynaecology & Women’s health for medical students and prevocational doctors within Australia and New Zealand.

PVOGS aims to:


  • Assist members with understanding specialist training pathways and related qualifications (CWH, DRANZCOG, Specialist O&G Training);

  • Provide members with focused skills training and educational opportunities at participating universities and hospital sites;
