Lateral ankle sprains are one of the most common but under-rehabbed injuries. A common deficit people can present with is restricted dorsiflexion range of motion, which can hinder people’s progress particularly when trying to get back into walking, running and squatting.

Exercises such as the one above can be helpful after the acute stage if there is a mechanical or bony block restricting the joint’s range of motion.
