Three Treasures Healing - Grace Jane Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Remedies for your whole being: body, mind and spirit Feel free to contact me if you have any queries about receiving treatment.

Chinese Medicine is a wonderful, relaxing and natural way to harmonise your body's energies, assisting in bringing you into a greater state of wellbeing. It encourages the innate healing abilites within you, to bring balance and grounding to life. Acupuncture and Herbs can be used to relieve signs and symptoms of many conditions, including IBS, period pain, asthma, depression, stress and autoimmun

e disorders. I am a qualified acupuncturist, graduating with distinction from RMIT, Melbourne, one of the few leading centres of Chinese Medicine education in Australia. I chose this course as it balances studies of Chinese Medicine with Western Medicine, enabling me to appreciate both perspectives. I see my role as facilitating my client's own healing process, essentially reminding the body of what it already knows how to do. I really enjoy seeing the transformation that occurs in people as they become empowered with their own healing abilities. I am passionate about my practice and am constantly growing and learning through the process.

This week marks National NAIDOC week (6-13 July), an important opportunity to recognise and celebrate the oldest, continuous living culture on earth! There are so many wonderful events happening - check out NAIDOC.org.au to find your local events and learn about the incredible culture of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. This year's theme is The Next Generation: Strength, Vision and Legacy. I acknowledge the elders emerging in the powerful next generation, and those past and present holding culture strong. I am grateful to live and work on the land of the Dja Dja Wurrung people, where I grew up, and the Wurrundjeri people, where I live today. Take a moment today, and every day, to acknowledge the country where you live, it's alive and humming!

Today is trans day of visibility! Every day is a good day to celebrate trans lives and particularly today. I'm happily remembering the time last year where we brought in the excellent Vic to from to deliver an excellent training on trans and gender diverse healthcare. We received really valuable training on the needs of TGD clients and how we can be more aware and supportive. (You can see some of my earnest responses to this in reels down the page!).

This is so important, given the barriers trans people face in seeking and receiving healthcare, including discrimination and lack of competency or understanding of gender diversity. We are committed to providing quality healthcare to our trans clients. Now more than ever it is time for the whole healthcare sector to improve healthcare access and quality for the TGD community.

To my dear trans friends and clients - never stop being yourself, you're wondrous.

Healing Well Chinese medicine is relocating ✨
This week marked my last day at this beautiful location - and what a beautiful old dame of a building she is! It's been such a pleasure supporting the community from this wonderful centre. When the building sold recently we were unable to find a space suitable for the whole practice to relocate, so you'll find groups of practitioners in spaces. I'm looking forward to continuing my work with .acupuncture , and Rex Hardjadibrata (massage therapist) at the wonderful Workspace hub at 35 Etty st - you'll find us in Building A, Room 8.

This place has been a significant part of my practice journey. When I moved back to Australia from Scotland after my first year in practice 13 years ago, Rima invited me to locum for her while on long service leave. It was a special opportunity to spend time in my home town of Castlemaine and have the privilege of caring for her clients. I was a bit nervous but up for the challenge! Since that time I continued to locum occasionally, until I joined the team permanently around 10 years ago, travelling up the Calder every week and now every fortnight to tend to my clients' well-being. In a role that can sometimes feel isolated, it's incredibly special to have such a dear and good colleague to work alongside, share ideas, food, and swap treatments! Thank you Rima 🙏🏻💐

I wish my best to all my fellow Healing Well practitioners with their continued excellent work in the community. It's been such a pleasure working with you ✨💐🫶🏻

I love being part of and supporting this beautiful community, thank you to all my clients and as I always say - thank yourselves for taking time to look after your health!

Well hi there and hello! It's such a pleasure to work in the sweet village of Northcote High St, I decided to offer my fellow small businesses an extra boost for the start of the year ✨💛. If you run or work in a local business around Northcote/Thornbury/Westgarth, I'm offering 50% off your first treatment for the year until the end of Feb - only a few more days left, come in and get a new year tune up!

I have had such a fun time wandering up n down High St meeting local traders and letting them know about the wonderful world of acupuncture and my work at . I enjoy acupuncture so much myself and can attest to how great it feels and how effective it is. I often call it a little "acunap", where people drift into a sweet state of deep relaxation. Just the thing to support the nervous system and regulate.

If you work in the local area or know someone who does - do them a favour and send this their way, I'd love to support their well-being! Booking link in the bio, call the clinic on (03)9489 0101 or simply pop down the street and visit us!

I love this time between the calendar new year and the lunar new year. For me it feels like a liminal space, a world between worlds ...time to rest, reflect and reorient to the new chapter. I'm taking more space from social media in this time, to defrag and regulate my nervous system. Perhaps you feel like doing the same? I remember a friend reflecting years ago that the time we scroll feels like the time we used to spend staring at clouds. I can relate ...often I turn to my phone when I want a space/time to zone out. But then I get bombarded with information and stimulation. Sound familiar? 🧡

So....when you go to scroll, pause a moment and check what you need in that moment. For sure - sometimes it's legit to want a moment scroll (giving yourself a hard time about these things is going to be more harmful than the thing itself - see my treatment space for more rants about this!). And, perhaps in that moment you want to actually pop your phone down, breathe a bit, stare out the window...daydream...stretch your eyes, your shoulders. Listen.

I cherish the space I hold in clinic for this kind of zoning in/zoning out. A liminal space for you to rest between the comings and goings of life. A reset, a pause, sacred nourishment. I'm here; come and give yourself that precious and necessary space.

I'd love to hear below what your favourite nature-based zone out activity is! Share the post to spread the word of slow ✨🙏🏻😌

I'll be tuning back more only social media land after the lunar new year. Meanwhile, see you in clinic soon for some qi-reorientation ☯️

It's Beltane! Happy high spring, season of fecundity, celebration, and blooming 🌺🌱🌈🌞 May this season bring into bloom that which brings you joy and delight ✨

Beltane comes from a pagan Celtic tradition, from colonial lands. Aboriginal people have been marking and celebrating the seasons on this beautiful land for well over 65,000 years 🙏🏻🌌. Sovereignty has never been ceded: always was, always will be. We can mark the season by giving thanks for this land, acknowledging the country you live on, learning about it, and learning how to love it. It loves you back 🫶🏻🐦.

I'm grateful to live and work on the lands of the Wurundjeri and the Dja Dja Wurrung people.

While many celebrate Halloween this time of year, this in fact is an occasion at home in the northern hemisphere, where they are entering the cold, dark season 🦇 And, this green witch gets a little bee in her bonnet about the seasonal miss-match 🤪 . I've tempered with age - don't worry I'm not here to spoil anyone's fun! I _am_ here to share the joys and benefits of living seasonally. To me, health is about living with awareness, attention and attunement to our internal and external seasons. These don't always necessarily align - we may have a lot of energy in winter, or feel super flat one summer. However, attending to the seasonal shifts around us can support us to be in balance with our environment, and have flow ok effects of balancing our internal environment.

High spring, or Beltane, calls for lively celebration of our growth points! What are you bringing into being, what are you watering? Pour some love on it! Pour affection on your loved ones, including yourself! What creativity can you bring to your self care this season?

I'm so happy to be part of this excellent initiative of .the.doula to help support families from Gaza. In such times as we live in it can be normal to feel helpless and not know how to make a difference - here's a tangible way to support those directly impacting those in need. And - there's a chance to win some really great prizes in the process!

All proceeds from the raffle go to towards their work of helping newly arrived families from Gaza with essentials that we may take as a given such as furniture, rent, clothing, food etc.

Tickets are just $10, and every additional $10 gets you another draw in the raffle. Enter here : https://chuffed.org/project/113205-raffle-for-palestinian-families

In classic ahdh style I'm popping this up last minute - the raffle will be drawn tomorrow evening Sunday 15th, though there's still time - esp if you love a last minute flurry like me hehehe - to jump on board, support a great cause and go in the running for some wonderful prizes 🙏🏻😌✨🖤🤍💚❤️

I'm so happy to introduce Emma Spinazzola of .earth.acupuncture to join me at for clinical observations. Emma has recently commenced her second year of Chinese medicine studies at Torrens University and has an enthusiasm for learning and Chinese medicine that I really admire. She brought me these gorgeous flowers on her first day last week - what a sweetie! We popped three in the treatment room for the Three Treasures that are the namesake for my business (Jing, Qi and Shen - more about those another time!). I said a blessing for our time together and picked angel card - it was the blank one! Which I love, to me it speaks of open possibilities unfolding...

I've been really looking forward to my opportunity to mentor and support a student on the TCM path, so I was delighted when Emma contacted me asking if I would support her. Completing clinical observation hours is an integral requirement of a student's training. It also offers a wonderful opportunity to see the theory we learn in books and the classroom put into practice in the community.

Chinese medicine is steeped in the tradition of mentorship and learning through apprenticeship. In modern times these traditions aren't necessarily woven into our training, we must seek them out or be fortunate enough to have them meet us on our path - and be willing to recognise them when they present! I am so grateful to my long time mentors in practice, Helen Mahoney and Rima Truchanas, who are at the core of my original inspiration to practice this medicine and continue to provide unwavering support and guidance.

I'm looking forward to sharing my experience with Emma, and likewise learning from her - there's nothing like good questions to help prompt reflections and fresh perspective - and I get the sense she'll be bringing plenty! Watch this space - Emma's bound to blossom into a wonderful practitioner 🙏🏼🌀💐

If your appointment is booked at a time when Emma is with me, I'll let you know in advance, and also check when you arrive if you're ok with having her sit in on your appointment. This continues to be your treatment space and your needs and care are centered, always.

Happy lunar new year! This new year I want to pause to offer my deep gratitude and respect to this extraordinary woman, Rima Truchanas - .acupuncture.

I have been fortunate enough to have Rima as a mentor, colleague, and friend for many years. Her mentorship, alongside that of our mutual mentor Helen Mahoney 🙏🏻, has been fundamental to me building my practice, my confidence and connection to the art and science of Chinese medicine over the past 19 years 🌿🙏🏻🌈😌.

When I moved back to Australia from the UK in 2013, Rima offered me the opportunity to locum for her while on long service leave, at the beautiful Healing Well in Castlemaine. I was quite nervous at being entrusted with the care of her dedicated clients! The trust and guidance she showed, and continues to show me, helped build my own sense trust in myself and listen to my internal guidance. She continued to call upon me to locum as needed, and after a time invited me to practice regularly alongside her at . I value our collaboration and connection so much, which continues to enliven my experience of practising Chinese medicine ✨🌿

Chinese medicine is steeped in the tradition of apprenticeship and mentorship, though as such systems as no longer built into our training, it is not a given, to be able to receive such consistent, quality, and heartfelt guidance and support.

My deep gratitude to you Rima, and blessings this year of the wood dragon. Thank you for your wonderful support, enquiring mind, and warm heart.

This fun selfie was taken recently when we went to see a beautiful performance in Castlemaine, songs by the wonderful Fay White based on Leunig poems ✨

Back in the rhythm of clinic days today after a solid two week break! Feeling refreshed and rested 😌🌈💚🌻🌿. Feeling very grateful for the privilege of peace, of safety, and the opportunity to rest and spend time with dear friends.

Tuesday and Wednesday fortnightly finds me at the beautiful on Dja Dja Wurrung country. I'm grateful to have spent my childhood on this land and now to work and play here 🙏🏻😌.

I look forward to welcoming you here this year to strengthen and maintain your well-being. When you visit on these hot days you can say hello to our resident blue-tongued lizard who enjoys a nice sunning on the concrete near the back door! Also be sure to bring a bag to collect some plums that are literally falling off the tree!

Be well 🙏🏻🌿🌻🌈
