On the ferry to Rottnest Island last week, I started feeling a little nauseous and sea sick. My intuition guided me to press firmly on the P6 acupressure point—also known as Neiguan or Pericardium 6—for relief.

This point is used in TCM to help ease mild nausea and vomiting.

🩷 HOW TO LOCATE:
1. Place three fingers from your opposite hand just below your wrist crease.
2. Position your thumb directly below those fingers.
3. Find the gap between the two prominent tendons on your wrist.

🩷 HOW TO USE IT:
🔸 Gently rub or apply steady pressure with your thumb for 3-5 minutes on each wrist.
🔸 Breathe deeply and focus on releasing tension.

[In Kinesiology we work on acupressure points, which involves applying steady pressure to specific points along the body’s meridian lines. It believed to regulate Qi (energy flow), support healing, and promote overall well-being].

I’ve been reflecting on the concept of “Devotion to Self”—what it truly means and how it shows up in our daily lives…

For me it’s not only about rest and self care but also, backing and showing up for yourself in every way.

It’s a deep commitment to yourself—living with integrity, honouring your energy, and taking disciplined, aligned action toward creating the life you truly want.

Devotion to self - is listening to your body, your intuition, and those quiet niggles that nudge you toward something more.

I was speaking with a colleague today who felt overwhelmed by the various positive changes she wanted to make in her life to improve how she felt —physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

She also mentioned that there was so much information out there, she didn’t know where to start.

I can totally relate to this, and I know many of you can too.

My advice is to go slow. Tune into what’s important to you at this time, and choose one or two small things that feel achievable and nourishing to your nervous system. Start there, and focus on being consistent rather than perfect. ✨

Take time to reflect on what is working, what’s feeling good for you, and what doesn’t. Get curious and playful. And most importantly, truly acknowledge your progress. This builds the belief that you can succeed, creating a foundation you can keep building on and these changes will naturally become part of your lifestyle.

Lately, my body, that voice within has been whispering to me: slow down.

Slow down in the way I move in my day, in the way I fill my days.

Slow down in the way I move my body - in yoga, in walking, in exercise. It’s craving slower, intentional movement.

Slow down in conversations.

Slow down in my actions, in my decision making.

Slow down while responding to messages, emails or calls.

Slow down with my to do list.

Slow down in the consumption of information.

Slow in life, be present - JUST BE…feel into the slowness.

My body is craving greater moments of stillness, slower, more mindful actions, which in turn will slower the mind down.

In a world where consistent hustle and speed can be admired, this is a little reminder that there’s true power in going slow too.

When we do so, we allow space for clarity, for depth, connection and calm. The space to feel, for intimacy.

Breathe deeply and honour the pace that feels right for you, in the season you are in. ✨🩷
