BreastScreen Queensland is available on Thursday Island for FREE breast screens (mammograms) until the end of month.

Women aged 50 to 74 should have a breast screen every 2 years (some every year). It's the best way to find breast cancers when they are very small and more easily treated.

Last week our team and clients participated in a very special NAIDOC 'For Mothers' workshop, led by our friends at Púuna 🥰

We learnt a variation of weaving techniques and enjoyed a delicious morning tea with locally sourced ingredients including lemon myrtle, lemon aspen, wattleseed, coconut, macadamia, and saltbush herbs.

We're always thankful for opportunities to engage in meaningful cultural and creative practices 🫶🏾

CATSINaM aims to provide Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders with pathways and support into health professions - an important goal shared by Mookai!
