Spring, blessed spring, it's almost here. 🌿 🐞 🌼 💫 🌏

The spring equinox falls on September 23rd and with it heralds the season of fresh new life, hope and transformation.
We come out of darkness and into light, baby animals are being born and blossoms bloom.
Everything just feels better.

Can you feel Spring starting to ease into the days? 🌈🌿🌞🌼
Bulbs are showing their faces to the sun, buds on the fruit trees and the ever earlier chatter of the flying folk.

Just like everything in the natural world human beings are aligning to the changes, take a few minutes today to simply sit, eyes closed, take some lovely slow, gentle, deep breaths & feel into the day, you might start to feel your inner world beginning to open to Spring.

Thursday Morning at the Flowerpot Yoga Shala

9.30 - 10.30 Gentle Morning Flow will have you smiling and ready to go. A gentle approach, incorporating hatha, vinyasa & yin yoga to bring ease to tight bodies & lightness to the heart.
Explorations of pranayama & meditation will leave you floating.

11 am - 12 noon Glow Flow, a great class if you like a little challenge. focusing on strength building & balance.

Tonight is the last in the Restorative Sunday Series, treat yourself.

Kelli from Asaya Resonance will be providing some beautiful frequency healing while you relax in supported restorative shapes.
This is such a wonderfully healing combination.

Be held in an environment that offers the space to feel & settle into the whole of your being, to release physical, mental and emotional tension & expand into the spaciousness of relaxed awareness.

Take some time to consciously slow down.

Find a comfortable position, sitting or laying down,

Relax and aware of your spine.

Inhale and exhale a few times until you can slow the inhale to the count of 4.

on the next and following inhalations FEEL the bodies response to the inhalation

feel the air being drawn in through the nostrils,

feel the base of the throat open,

the lungs expand,

the ribs expand,

collar bones move,

belly rise,

Become conscious of the subtle sensations within the body caused by the breath, pressure, tingling, coolness, warmth.

Feel the sensation of expansiveness and openness in your body and in your awareness created by the inhalation

Now the exhalation,

feel your bodies response to the breath leaving the body

feel warmth of the air leaving the nostrils (or mouth)

feel the closing at the base of the throat

lungs contracting

the ribs contracting

collar bones resting

belly falling

become aware of the subtle sensations within the body caused by the exhalation, pulsing, heaviness, lightness, coolness, warmth.

Feel the sensation of closing in, stillness, quiet in your body and your awareness created by the exhalation.

Now finding the space between the inhalations and exhalations, become aware of the space between these breaths,

is there any space between these breaths ?

If yes what is your experience within these spaces?

Is there an urgency to inhale or exhale or an anticipation,, or stillness ?

Be at peace with what ever the experience,

Our breath is like the waves on the beach, they come in and go out, each wave is unique, as is our breath,

take just a minute to stop what you are doing, close your eyes and take a conscious breath or two, really feel your breath and your bodies relationship with it.

Rest, sweet rest. Why push when your entire being cries rest?

What's behind that push, that excessive need for busyness?

Rest dear ones, rest.

It is the yin to the yang, the balance your systems require.

Rest is the sacred space where healing occurs, where tension looses its grip on your body & mind.

Rest is where your heart can soften & expand, where dreams rise & imagination takes flight.

Rest is where you have space to expand into your inner world, to explore your inner landscape.

If you feel the call to let it all drop for awhile there are still a few spots available in tonights Restorative Yoga Session.
