Petrie's Kitchen - Made with love I started this page to hopefully help others who may want to loose weight but have struggled like myself.

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism about a year ago (under active thyroid) I have tried everything from Jenny Craig, to weight watchers and the dukan diet, and they worked for a short time BUT the weight was never consistant and I always went back to my original bigger size if not bigger. So looking in the mirror one day i burst into tears i didnt recognise who i had become so i decided right the

re and then i needed to change, i needed to understand my body, what worked for it, understand what certain foods do and what ultimately worked for me to see results. In 5 months i have now managed to loose 31 kgs, my life has definately changed but I made small changes, I gave up some things but not all. I have played around on recipes, come up with new ones, which i hope you all will enjoy and i am here to offer support and guidance if needed. By no means am i a professional in this field, but iv found a way that works for me and just want to share it for anyone who is interested xx

250 g frozen raspberries
250 g Jam sugar
20 g lemon juice

Simmered for 30 mins and poured into the jar and set upon cooling 😍

The easiest butter chicken and according to the kids…. The tastiest!

Coat chicken breast in the butter chicken seasoning (approx 2 tbl) + add the passage to India sachet - simmer + 2 tbl of vege powder + 1/4 cup of cream and wallah dinner in under 30 mins!

Training 5 days a week
Following Keto plan my results are as follows:

⬇️6.2kgs
⬇️4.6% Body Fat
⬇️ 2 Visceral age level
⬇️ 1.6 lean body mass

I am absolutely thrilled with these results and have loved the meal plan. It’s so simple to follow and allows for swaps and changes if required.

The team is always there to offer guidance or support as required.

Your plan also comes with a training program however I am based out of BFT and love love love my training there plus some treadmill runs thrown in.

So for the next 8-12 weeks iv decided to keep going but giving the low carb meal plan a whirl as my training intensity increases and I the hyrox fitness race in a few weeks iv decided to make the change to accomodate. I am determined to hit my 20kg loss with the 1.8 to go!

LCM Bars using rice puffs

Ingredients
75 g butter
200 g marshmallows
200 g rice Puffs
100s & 1000s to decorate

Melt butter and marshmallows till gooey then fold in the rice puffs and mix well.
Place in a lined tray (I wet my knife to help spread the mixture with ease)
Top with sprinkles and refrigerate for 2 hours then slice!

Simple and a household hit 🤩

I remember purchasing this dress for an event late last year it fit but I didn’t feel great at all. It was followed up with a check in with my GP who raised concerns about my blood results which followed in an ultrasound of my liver which showed fatty liver. I was told to loose weight or things would progressively get worse. So I ripped the Band-Aid off and went back keto as advised under medical guidance. I trained hard at the gym and stuck to my own meal plan - clean keto. The weight started to shift. I had a follow up appointment a few weeks ago and I can happily say my blood work is now within a normal fantastic range. I still have a goal in place on where I would like to be but sometimes you just have to get uncomfortable to finally feel comfortable and those small goals when hit make it all worthwhile ❤️

These are soooooo good!
I had heard about these a while ago and needed to try!

Keto peanut butter biscuits

• 250gms peanut butter (crunchy or smooth) I used home made
85gms
• 1 egg
• 2 tsp vanilla extract
• 1/2 tsp baking powder
Preheat oven to 180C. Mix peanut butter and sweetener
together until smooth. Add egg, vanilla and baking
powder and mix until a dough forms. Roll into 15 even
sized balls and place on lined baking tray. Press into
biscuit shape.
I popped a melt on each biscuit .
Bake for 10 minutes. Allow to cool before
handling.
Makes 15 biscuits

Banana 🍌 and choc chip muffins .

My kids are so fussy with baking - I threw out today 12 apple cinnamon muffins I made the other day as they refused to even try! So I promise These are good I never have to bin any 😂

150 g plain flour
120 g unsalted butter, diced
100 g caster sugar
2 ripe bananas (approx. 200 g), cut in
pieces
3 large eggs
1 ½ tsp baking powder
1 pinch fine sea salt
100 g milk chocolate chips (I use )

Blend and then using an ice cream scoop (the one you squeeze and it releases) dollop the batter into muffin cases (10).

Bake at 180 deg for 22 mins and let cool - or don’t and smother with butter 🧈🤭🤣

Whipped this up totally winging it but it worked 😅 As I forgot to buy dressing at the super tonight!

Dressing Ingredients
1 clove garlic
80 g light tasting olive oil
40 g White wine vinegar
10 g French mustard
2 tsp bolognese seasoning
2 large pinches salt
1 pinch freshly cracked black pepper
Tsp red wine

Blitz and dress salad - Mine consisted of cos , cucumber, basil feta and olives 😍

Mr 5 caught my horrible cough a few weeks ago and it became a constant barking cough so I decided to try a home remedy on him! And it worked - whilst it didn’t stop the cough it reduced the severity for a bit as opposed to the constant cough!

1 1/2 cups raw honey
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
1-5 lemons, juiced (the more the better)

Instructions


Add honey, olive oil and lemon juice to a small pot.
Stir.
Heat over medium heat just until steaming, stirring.
Remove from heat and let cool.
Place into a jar with a lid.
Store in the refrigerator
Take 1 tablespoon warmed as needed.
