If you have ongoing shoulder pain that won't go away (even with treatment), then often it's because you're doing something each day to continually aggravate or reinjure it.
The 3 most common aggravations are incorrect sleeping positions, desk work and prolonged mobile phone use.
All of these increase stress on the shoulder joints and this is often the reason why shoulder pain won't go away.

Incorrect sleeping positions, desk work and prolonged mobile phone use all place an increased stress on the shoulder joints and this is often the reason why shoulder pain won't go away.

If you’re having shoulder problems that won’t go away, then chances are you’re doing 1 or all 3 of these “movements” every day that are irritating your shoulder…these movements slow down healing in the same way as would happen if you were to continue to pick at a scab.
Stopping or at the very least limiting these irritating movements can break the pain-irritation cycle that often prevents many shoulder injuries from healing. I made a video earlier in the week where I detailed what to do to fix your shoulder pain.

Most shoulder & rotator cuff injuries are secondary to a postural problem. This posture problem is internal rotation of the shoulder or “forward, rounded and hunched shoulders”. This postural problem is incredibly common nowadays because of the increase in desk work, sitting and use of mobile phones.
The good news is, the postural problem can be corrected and when it is, shoulder problems often dramatically reduce or disappear. I made a video earlier in the week where I share my two favourite exercises for correcting this postural imbalance.

In today's video I’m going to talk about how to fix shoulder pain. A growing trend I’m seeing with patients suffering from shoulder pain is that almost all treatment is focused on the rotator cuff.
The missing link, however, in many cases is an underlying postural imbalance that, if ignored, often leads to chronic shoulder problems.

Don't get me wrong...cortisone can provide fantastic relief for people suffering with shoulder pain. However, very often, they don't correct the underlying cause of the problem (most often a postural issue).
