Julian is the founder and director of The Physio Station — and the reason it all began! With a passion for helping people return to work and stay injury-free, he brings a calm, thoughtful presence (and funny memes in the group chat) to the team. 👇 Get to know him a little more below!

🕐 How long have you been with The Physio Station?
I started The Physio Station as a sole trader in 2014 from within The Wellness House. I began one day a week and my first day I saw one person!
I now am physiotherapist and director at The Physio Station.

💬 What’s your favourite thing about being a physiotherapist?
My favourite work as a physiotherapist is helping people get back to work as it can be such a stressful time in someone’s life. I do also like working with companies to prevent injuries.

☕ Go-to coffee order?
I order a long black with a dash of oat milk! It’s an unusual order that I often have to repeat.

🌴 Dream holiday destination?
I like the NSW mid-north coast for its climate.

🤔 If you weren’t a physiotherapist, what would you be?
If I wasn’t a physio I’d be a politician! I think?

😊 What do you love most about your role?
I like seeing employees happy in their work when they feel confident and rewarded.

🎧 Book or podcast recommendation?
Hamish and Andy are a great podcast for a pick me up, and 15 minutes with the boss by the AFR is great!

🐶🐱 Are you a dog person or a cat person?
I can never decide! I’ve never owned a cat though so one day maybe I will try it.

I’ve been here for 4 months, completing my new graduate year with a great team!

I would love to travel to Italy and explore the beautiful landscapes, museums, food, and culture!

❤️ What do you love most about your role?
I love being able to see a positive change in clients over time with our individualised rehabilitation programs.

Almost a year – 10 months and counting!

❤️ Favourite part of being an AHA?
Meeting new people and seeing the progress they make over time. So rewarding.

☕ Go-to coffee order?
Vanilla cap, no questions asked.

🌍 Dream holiday destination?
Switzerland – been top of the list for ages!

🐶 If you weren’t an AHA, what would you be?
A police dog handler. Working with dogs = the dream.

🔄 What do you love most about your role?
The flexibility and the awesome connections I get to build. No two days are the same!

DYFM – a neuroscience podcast that actually makes the brain make sense.

🐾 Dog or cat person?
Dog, hands down. Malinois is the goal.

🗓️ How long have you been with The Physio Station?
2 years – since 13/6/23!

❤️ What’s your favourite thing about being our Practice Manager?
This is a tricky one… I’d love to say helping people, but I mostly just book the appointments and leave the real work to our amazing physios and allied health assistant! So I’d have to say the accounting side – I’ve got a thing for numbers.

☕️ Go-to coffee order?
Caramel latte, skim and lactose free – trying to keep up with Phoenix and all her fancy coffee requests 😂

🗺️ Dream holiday destination?
Tasmania is top of the list for next year (fingers crossed!) – although I wouldn’t say no to another trip to Fiji.

💭 If you weren’t a Practice Manager, what would you be?
An accountant. (Surprise, surprise!)

💘 What do you love most about your role?
The amazing people I work with every day 💛

🐶🐱 Are you a dog person or a cat person?
Can’t choose – I’m both!
