Our organisation has a proud tradition of supporting the ex-service community - veterans and war widows and we are committed to providing high quality accommodation, services and support for veterans, war widows and the general public. We offer:
* Aged care services: in-home care residential aged care for all Victori

ans.
* Ex-service accommodation and support services for veterans/widows.
* The V Centre (coming in 2023): a residential program for veterans experiencing homelessness, marginal homelessness or struggling to find their way after leaving the services. A huge thanks to the East Brighton Vampires Football Club who very generously took the time to visit our residents at Vasey RSL Care, Brighton East. The members, including Secretary, Thomas McCrabb and new recruit, special guest Alex Keath (former Western Bulldogs / Adelaide player and Melbourne Stars Big Bash player) were a big hit as they mingled and discussed their local team. Later that day, they went on to beat the opposition in a home game by 70 points! We are, of course all big fans now. Go Vampires!!!

Daffodil Day Celebrations at Vasey RSL Care Frankston South

This afternoon, our home was glowing in yellow as we came together to mark Daffodil Day- a day to honour hope, strength and the lives touched by cancer.

Residents enjoyed a lively and relaxed happy hour, complete with refreshing drinks and a beautiful daffodil-themed cake. The atmosphere was lifted even more by the talented Michael, who filled the room with live music and joyful energy.

At Vasey RSL Care Frankston South, Hope and happiness continue to bloom and together, we continue to create moments of joy, connection and care.

A morning of smiles at Vasey RSL Care Frankston South!

This morning, our residents enjoyed a wonderful puppet show-a heartwarming experience filled with laughter, storytelling and pure joy.

A warm thank you to Natalie for her thoughtful and engaging performance. The show sparked smiles sparked memories and brought a lovely sense of fun to the start of the day.

It's moments like these that bring our community together and remind us that joy has no age and also moments like these remind us how powerful a little fun and imagination can be.

A Day Remember at Vasey RSL Care Frankston South

World Senior Citizens Day 2025

Today was all about celebrating the incredible lives, stories, and legacies of the wonderful seniors in our care-and what a beautiful celebration it was!

The room was filled with music, laughter and love as we honoured the heart of our community.
A huge thank you to the amazing Robyn, who volunteered her time and talent to sing for our residents. Your voice brought joy, nostalgia and toe tapping fun- you made the day extra special!

We also shared some thoughtful gifts with our residents, because they deserve to be spoiled and appreciated, not just today but every day.

To all our seniors- thank you for your wisdom, your stories, and your presence. You make our world richer in every way.

A Joyful Morning at Vasey RSL Care Frankston South.

Our Residents were treated to the beautiful voices of the Church Choir this morning, filling the home with uplifting hymns and heartfelt melodies.

It was a peaceful and joyful way to start the day, with many residents singing along and enjoying the spirit of togetherness.

Thank you to the Somerville Church Choir for sharing your time and voices with us- your presence truly brightened our morning.

🚴‍♂️ The Tour de V Centre promo tour rolled into Ballarat and Geelong today.

Adam and Chris swapped their suits for lycra and hit the bikes to spread the word about the upcoming 460km ride to raise awareness of veteran homelessness. First stop was ABC Ballarat with all-round great guy Steve Martin.

From there, it was on to meet the amazing crew at Ballarat RSL Sub Branch Inc and the BALLARAT VETERANS ASSISTANCE CENTRE – tireless advocates for their local veteran community. A special thank you also to Michaela Settle MP for dropping by and, for her ongoing support for veteran issues.

Then it was off to Geelong, where we caught up with the team at Geelong RSL and had the privilege of chatting with Wadawurrung woman Corinna Eccles – an inspirational leader who will be joining us as a guest speaker at the Geelong fundraising dinner.

Tour de V Centre promo tour is on the road! 🚴‍♀️

This October, a dedicated group of cyclists will take on a 460km journey from Warrnambool to Box Hill in the inaugural Tour de V Centre. Running from 12–16 October, the ride aims to shine a light on the urgent issue of veteran homelessness across Australia.

The ride sets off from Warrnambool and will feature stops in Ararat, Ballarat, Geelong, culminating in Box Hill, with community events and fundraising dinners planned at each location.

Organisers Chris and Adam today hit the road for a reconnaissance trip, meeting with sponsors, supporters, riders, and guest speakers who are helping bring this event to life. They started in Warrnambool at ABC South West VIC with the talented Jeremy Lee, followed by a warm welcome at Cally Hotel in Fairy Street—longstanding community supporters who looked after us as always.

From there, they met with Maria, Alison, and Scott at the Ararat RSL, who will proudly host a fundraising dinner in October. Their support of the Tour de V Centre—and the veteran community more broadly—means so much.

A huge thank you to all our supporters who are helping us make this event possible.

Today we came together to honor Vietnam Veterans Day and to celebrate our wonderful Vietnam veterans. A heart felt thank you to Chris Potter group leader from the RAAF association, Lieutenant Stephen Burgess from Simpson barracks, David Boyle, our Talented bagpiper, and Dawson Conceicao for the moving bugle performance. It was such a lovely service, and we are grateful to our representative from the ADF who stayed back to lunch with our Veterans. Everyone had a memorable day, and I would like to thank each and every person who help make the service meaningful

Residents at Vasey RSL Care in Bundoora celebrated Val's incredible 100th birthday! It was so special to see all the residents come together and enjoy such a happy occasion. A big thank you to our kitchen staff for the beautiful cake, and to the wonderful residents who run Pinky's cafe for helping out with the coffee and to the residents who colored their hair pink to mark the celebration!
