The research unequivocally shows that being embedded in a community exerts a protective effect on your physical and mental health. It is especially true for people who identify as part of one or more marginalised groups - being a person of colour, q***r, genderq***r, and other minority identities.

Finding your support networks can be difficult in regional Queensland. This is why events like The Sunshine Coast Sunshine Coast Q***r Ball, where your q***rness and uniqueness is celebrated, are important to the LGBTQIA+ community.

Welcome to my page! This is a space where I help women experiencing autoimmunity and more specifically suffering from the symptoms of Rheumatoid Arthritis, to harness the innate ability of their supremely intelligent mind-body complex to repair the damage and heal itself.

Using what I have learned about wellness, healing, and consciousness on my own journey back to health I will walk you through the maize that is nutritional medicine and diet modification for reducing inflammation, mindset and mindfulness framework as a tool for shifting your phychoneuroimmonological network to bring mind-body complex back to balance.

Why do I have the authority to help? I hear you are asking... I was diagnosed with RA and SLE in 2011 and became practically house-bound within a few years. I initially accepted the conventional medicine’s view of my conditions as “incurable” and sought to suppress my symptoms with anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressant medication. After a few years despite being treated I was losing function and ability to move and therefore work or lead a normal life. On top of this a whole host of mysterious symptoms cropped up as a result of being medicated. I was being referred from one specialist to the next for over a year before I realised that this could go on forever and I may not get any answers. It finally dawned.... doctors do not know everything, the drugs don’t always work, I know my body best and to get better I have to take 100% of responsibility for my own wellbeing.

With yoga therapy, Ayurvedic and Nutritional medicine, aromatherapy, NLP, mindfulness and meditation practice and some unpleasant excavation of past emotional traumas and suppressed emotions I explored every possibility that could take me closer to a healthy balance. I have experimented, made mistakes, regressed in my progression, made unbelievable leaps, cried with pain and happiness and I am still on the path today! The twisting, barely perceptible path eventually became more defined and easier to tread as I found confidence in my ability to know, at the gut level, what supported my journey and what hindered it.
