Show some love to the tiny and terrific Natimuk, Victoria!

Fun fact - Yellow Gum Psychology was dreamed up in the winter sun of a Nati living room, in the mid stages of Covid.

Just one week to go! Let’s help Natimuk take out the title.

Natimuk is in the running to be crowned Victoria’s Top Tiny Tourism Town — and we’re counting on you to help us get there.

From bold adventures at Mt Arapiles to the creative pulse of town life, Natimuk is truly one-of-a-kind.

Voting closes June 27 — and your vote could make all the difference.

Would you LOOK at that SKY 🤩

Another in our recurring series on sunsets, featuring powerlines. That's the Wimmera alright: mind-expanding horizons, but with all your mod-cons! ⚡

Not to brag, but out here, we just really excel at sunsets! This is quite literally one step outside our front door at 😍 🌅 (just focus on the colours and not the powerlines - although, I reckon they are a reminder of man's ability to generate electricity 🤣 )

What if this was your view every day? AND you got to enjoy this humour every day? Both are possible... or just the former, if that's your preference.

26 May is National Sorry Day. Today we remember and acknowledge the mistreatment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who were forcibly removed from their families and communities, which we now know as ‘The Stolen Generations’.

The first National Sorry Day was held on 26 May 1998, one year after the Bringing Them Home report was tabled in Parliament. This landmark report was a result of a national inquiry into the separation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children from their families throughout the 20th century. It marked an important step in truth-telling and included comprehensive recommendations for healing and justice.

But nearly three decades later, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children are still 10.8 times more likely than non-Indigenous children to be removed from their families.

According to the Healing Foundation's 2025 report – Are you waiting for us to die? The unfinished business of Bringing Them Home – only 6% of the report’s original recommendations have been clearly implemented.

We acknowledge and support the ongoing work of the Healing Foundation and all those who continue to address the intergenerational trauma in families and communities caused by the forced removal of children. There is still work to be done.

💡 Did you know 💡 by most measures we don't have enough psychologists in Australia? (We *know* we don't in regional Australia!) Here's Dr Sara Quinn from Australian Psychological Society explaining the 'bottleneck' in psychology training. This means we lose heaps of clever people who don't get through to the next stage of training. Aaaand guess what? These barriers hit harder for students from rural backgrounds who more often have to move away to access study and required (unpaid) work placements.
