This week, we proudly join communities across the country in celebrating 50 years of NAIDOC Week - a milestone that honours the enduring strength, culture, and leadership of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

This year’s theme, “The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy,” invites us to reflect on the powerful legacy of those who came before, while celebrating the emerging leaders who are shaping the future with courage, insight, and pride.

The NAIDOC journey began as a movement for recognition and rights, sparked by Indigenous communities who saw a future built on justice and equality. Over the decades, it has grown into a powerful national celebration, a testament to the enduring strength of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

We acknowledge the wisdom of Elders, the strength of communities, and the vision of the next generation. Together, we look ahead with hope and determination, committed to working alongside elders and emerging leaders to grow the legacy of NAIDOC — led by Indigenous voices and guided by shared values of unity and respect.

Every year on 26 May, National Sorry Day remembers and acknowledges the mistreatment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who were forcibly removed from their families and communities, which we now know as ‘The Stolen Generations’.

National Sorry Day is a day to acknowledge the strength of Stolen Generations Survivors and reflect on how we can all play a part in the healing process for our people and nation. 🖤💛❤️

A sustainable NDIS requires sustainable quality providers, and we can no longer take that for granted.

A sustainable NDIS requires sustainable quality providers. Transferring NDIS pricing to the Independent Health and Aged Care Pricing Authority (IHACPA) will ensure transparent and fair pricing and sustainability of the Scheme.

We support tiered NDIS pricing based on service delivery costs, including quality, registration, rural challenges, and complex care needs.
We support tiered NDIS payments for quality providers without raising participant costs.

The NDIS is Australia’s most significant social reform in a generation, transforming the lives of people for the better. However, we have now reached a critical point in the Scheme’s development, one that needs a renewed vision and commitment.

We support people with high and complex needs and work alongside disability support workers to ensure safety for everyone and an increased quality of life for participants. Fair funding for the NDIS workforce isn't a big ask.

So as we head to a general election, we are joining the voice of our peak body National Disability Services calling on all political parties to make a quality driven and sustainable NDIS a top priority for the National Disability Insurance Agency. The ask is simple. Transfer NDIS pricing to the Independent Health and Aged Care Pricing Authority (IHACPA) to ensure transparent and fair pricing and sustainability of the Scheme.
