We are proud to be Merimbula's independent, full-scope practice for eye health & optical services.

With our highly trained professional and friendly staff we are dedicated to delivering the best care for our patient's ocular health and eyewear needs. Our practice provides comprehension eye examinations using the latest technology for eye health monitoring and diagnostics. We are conveniently located opposite the Merimbula jetty, just along from the Merimbula Lakeview Hotel, with easy access and a level walk to plentiful car parking. Our reception enjoys a sensational view of Merimbula Lake, and showcases our beautiful eyewear display. Our spectacle frames, lenses, contact lens and sunglasses range has been carefully selected for style and quality - enabling us to enhance your visual and lifestyle needs while catering to your style and budget needs. At Merimbula Vision we have access to the latest contact lens and spectacle lens designs, and have a special interest in children’s vision.

Our Story

Bayd Rosenbaum Optometrists is an independent practice owned and managed by us - Bayd and Belinda Rosenbaum. We have built this practice with the great support of EyeQ - an Australian network of Optometrists. Bayd, as our practice optometrist, is experienced in all aspects of eyecare. Bayd has over 15 years experience as a practicing optometrist and while working at the UNSW School of Optometry as their clinical contact lens expert he completed his Masters in Optometry in 2008. Bayd is motivated by the aim of providing professional eyecare of the highest standard to the people of the Sapphire coast. This includes the detection and management of eye diseases such as macular degeneration, cataracts, and glaucoma. He is also therapeutically endorsed and qualified to prescribe drops to help dry eye as well as infection, inflammation and allergies of the eye. Our staff includes Tim Smith, Mark Boxall and Mel Gray. Our patients get to enjoy a complete and quality professional service thanks to our wonderful team. Whether it be helping people make an appointment, make an informed decision when selecting frames and lenses, and quality dispensing of prescription glasses. At Bayd Rosenbaum EyeQ Optometrists we have access to the latest contact lens and spectacle lens designs, have a special interest in children’s vision, and can deliver OrthoK treatment.

Our practice manager Belinda Rosenbaum is an artist, and her mural ‘Dream Swim’ can be seen at the Sapphire Coast Aquatic Centre. She uses her design skills and selects and manages our extensive frame range so our patients have access to the very best frames to suit their style and unique looks and needs.
