Want your practice to be the top-listed Clinic?
Port Macquarie’s first fully equipped Yoga Studio! Pacific Breeze Yoga is the first fully equipped Yoga studio in Port Macquarie. The style of Yoga we teach is Iyengar.* Please, join us to experience for yourself how Yoga can strengthen your body and mind. The students practising at our studio range from absolute beginners to more experienced students who once started as absolute beginners with us. In our studio we teach and practice Yoga in a safe, supported and effective manner. Individual attention is paid to detail. The correct alignment and sequencing of asana along with the use of props (equipment) as developed by B.K.S. Iyengar is the result of years of Teacher training.
Principal teacher/owner Shirley Deffert of Hornsby Yoga is qualified in 3 styles of yoga, however specialises only in Iyengar Yoga. After teaching in and for various places and organisations including University of Sydney, Conservatorium of Music, Cruise ships, Corporate Yoga, High Schools, Evening Colleges, Gyms, Council and Church Halls she realised Yoga needs to be taught in a more suitable space. So she started Hornsby Yoga, a dedicated, properly equipped, CLEAN space where people are able to practice quality Yoga without interruptions, noise and unqualified people trying to dictate how you can do yoga. A space where they can feel they are supported and have what equipment they need within their reach. She has now brought all this experience and knowledge to Port Macquarie and started Pacific Breeze Yoga.
*Iyengar Yoga teachers are constantly updating their skills. They also have long years of initial training. At least 5-6 years for the first level Teacher Certificate. The teaching is universal. If you go to a class in almost any country the teacher will have had the same rigorous training.
