Did you know that the risk of falls can be decreased by progressive resistance (strength) and balance exercises?

We run groups across the Central Coast, Lake Macquarie and Maitland regions at present.

Building strength at every age! πŸ’ͺ🏼

Did you know that some residential facilities have gyms designed for residents to stay active and strong? Our Physiotherapists work with people of all ages to improve mobility, build strength, and maintain independence.

Regular strength training helps reduce the risk of falls, enhances balance, and makes everyday activities easier. Because feeling strong and capable shouldn’t have an age limit.

As we continue to expand our partnerships with RACFs, we strive to provide the highest standard of care to improve the quality of life for older Australians in our region πŸ‘΄πŸΌπŸ‘΅πŸΌ

Please get in touch if you're a RACF or community aged care provider and would like to work together to make a positive impact on the lives of older adults πŸš€

When Mum joins one of our exercise groups, the whole family notices. 😊

She says she's feeling more confident than ever.

The group is full of happy, welcoming faces.

And the instructor? She can't speak highly enough of them.

Her daughter has seen the difference at home too β€” "She's happier, she's got more energy, and she's getting off the lounge without groaning!"

What has group exercise done for her in three words?
..Confident
..Active
..Social

Whether you're looking to stay active, get stronger, or just find a fun group to move with β€” we've got a program for you.

NDIS planning is changing...
...while the goal is a more sustainable and consistent scheme, many in the sector (including us) have concerns.

The way NDIS plans are built is about to undergo a fundamental shift.

If you’re a participant, family member, or provider, it’s time to get across Support Needs Assessments (SNAs).

Traditionally, participants have gathered evidence including Functional Capacity Assessments, and plan review documents to help with their plan review.

From mid-2026, the NDIA will transition to using:

The I-CAN tool: A standardised assessment conducted by NDIA assessors.

An algorithm: This data-driven tool will fundamentally determine a participant's supports and plan budget.

πŸ€” What are the concerns?

While the goal is a more sustainable and consistent scheme, many in the sector (including us) have questions.

Transparency: How does the algorithm actually calculate a plan?

Human oversight: What happens if the algorithm gets it wrong? Is there a clear, timely process for a human to override the data?

πŸ’‘ A shift in focus

For clinicians, there is a silver lining: We do want to spend less time writing reports that may never be read, and more time helping people living with disabilities to build capacity and work towards there goals.

The NDIS is a world-leading scheme, and we all want it to be sustainable, but we also need it to be fair, transparent, and person-centered.
