We welcome professionals and families needing appointments after work or school. We are offering increased availability after hours and on Saturday mornings. Wingrove Medical Clinic is a family clinic operating in Fairfield, Victoria. The AGPAL Accredited practice is owned by Dr. Paul O’Halloran, Dr. Barbara Oldmeadow, Dr. Cate Porter and Dr Stephanie Muller. The clinic opened in the early 1930s and since that time has provided health care to families and individuals in the local community. Eight doctors practice at Wingrove Medical Clinic, supported by two practice managers, four practice nurses and reception staff. Nursing staff provide a wide range of services in our treatment room including immunisations and wound dressings . Practice Nurses also provide chronic disease management/education, and Over 75 Health Assessments. Wingrove Medical Clinic is a non bulk billing clinic with Medicare claiming facilities on site. There is an out of pocket fee for all patients, with a reduced fee for pensioners and health care card holders. The fee charged will depend on the length and complexity of the consultation. Some bulk billing occurs at the doctors’ discretion. Consultation is by appointment, although priority will be given to urgent cases. Standard Appointments are 15 minutes, but longer if requested by patient. Whenever possible, the doctors make home visits to elderly or sick patients who are unable to visit the surgery. Alternatively, and for after hours services, patients can contact the Melbourne Medical Locum Service on 13 SICK (13 7425) and a doctor will visit them at home. In an emergency, patients are encouraged to dial 000 for an ambulance. Doctors:

Fees are payable at the time of consultation by Cash, Cheque, Credit Card or EFTPOS. Pensioners and Health Care Card holders are charged a reduced fee with a maximum out of pocket expense of $14.00 for pensioners and $25 for Health Care Card holders. Private patients will pay a gap beyond the Medicare refund. This varies according to the complexity of service or if a procedure is performed. Consultation fees for a Saturday are charged at a higher rate. Further information regarding fees can be obtained by speaking to the receptionist on duty. APPOINTMENTS:
Consultation is by appointment. Urgent cases are seen on the day. Booking a long appointment: If you want an insurance medical, review of a complex medical problem, counselling for emotional difficulties, or a second opinion about someone else's management you will need to make sure you book a longer appointment. Please bring with you relevant letters and test results from other doctors. If more than one person from your family wishes to see the doctor at the same time, please ensure a separate appointment is made for each member.

Wingrove Medical Clinic will be closed from 1pm on Friday 19th September 2025. We will re-open at 9am on Saturday 20th September 2025.

Our on site 4Cyte Pathology Service will still be open from 9am until 3pm.

Our Story

Wingrove Medical Clinic is a family clinic operating in Fairfield, Victoria. The AGPAL Accredited practice is owned by Dr. Paul O’Halloran, Dr. Barbara Oldmeadow and Dr. Cate Porter. There are now six consulting rooms and a clinical treatment room. We provide health care to families and individuals in the local community. Ten doctors practice at Wingrove Medical Clinic, supported by a practice manager, an office manager, four practice nurses and eight reception staff. Nursing staff provide a wide range of services in our treatment room including immunisations, wound dressings and spirometry.
