MOVE Yoga is a true oasis tucked away behind the bustling Flinders Lane, nestled in a quiet courtyard at the back of an offshoot laneway. Here, the warmth of blonde timber and the stillness of open space come together to create a calming atmosphere. The natural light that pours in from the laneway fills the space with a serene glow, perfectly complementing the striking contrast between the high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling steel-framed doors.

These dark, bold steel doors serve as a powerful frame to enter the yoga class, creating a striking contrast to the expansive, open space inside. The design bridges the city’s industrial aesthetic with the softness of its interiors, where raw concrete meets refined finishes. The wide, open spaces invite a sense of freedom, while the clean lines and high ceilings elevate the atmosphere, allowing the space to breathe and flow.

The gentle light spilling in from Melbourne’s iconic Flinders Lane enhances the feeling of openness, bringing a sense of calm and connection with each breath you take.

The studio was designed with balance in mind, reflecting the yogic principle of Sthira Sukham: the perfect blend of strength and softness.

🌟 Discover How Indigo Went from 9-5 to Launching Her Side Hustle as a Yoga Teacher! ↆ

"Hi, my name is Indigo. I just completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training here at Move Yoga. I started this course to transition into yoga teaching, and it's been the most incredible experience. I feel so prepared to enter this industry now, and I'm just full of love.

The structure was incredible; the fact that the entire class learned a complete sequence along with the context and anatomy around it was amazing. Completing an entire yoga sequence in 9 weeks is a testament to the course's structure. We received a wealth of information, delivered in such an intentional and well-paced manner over the 9 weeks.

Moreover, we still have access to the course, allowing us to revisit the content throughout our careers. Each time I watch the lectures, I continue learning more and more. Balancing full-time work with practice was my biggest struggle. Prioritising it over anything else was challenging, but crucial. Carving out that time was essential; otherwise, you can fall behind.

My biggest "aha" moment came when I finally felt confident standing up in front of everyone to teach a class. By the end of last Saturday afternoon, everything just clicked for me. It felt like everything perfectly fell into place, thanks to the structure of the course.

I'm passionate about yoga and movement. Even amidst completing my yoga teacher training course, I'm determined to work towards full-time teaching. I also aim to work in aged care, bringing movement and mindfulness to elderly communities. Eventually, I aspire to pursue a master's in dance movement therapy. I feel like it's where I'm supposed to be".
