NYD: RISE UP WITH RADIANCE 🔥🌸 🔔

Join me for New Year’s Day 2-hr immersive practice + puja, devoted to awakening the energy of the yoga goddess Lakshmi inside of you.

In the Hindu/yoga tradition Lakshmi is the goddess of fertility, growth, good fortune, wealth and abundance. An appropriate energy to support beginning again.

Following some yoga, kriya + a sound healing we will sit in circle together, set our intentions for the year ahead, throw our self-limiting beliefs into the fire of transformation, and bathe in Lakshmi’s golden light through ceremony and carefully guided devotional/bhakti practices

You will discover how to ask for her blessings: for you, your loved ones and all beings everywhere.

You will learn rituals and practices to weave Lakshmi into your daily life and receive a gorgeous goodie bag to take home with all the necessary tools to do so.

DETAILS:

What: Rise Up with Radiance
With: Cecily and Lydia
When: Wed 1 Jan 2025
Where: Radiant Sol Yoga in South Melbourne

"...I know if this babe could speak to me now, she would want me to love myself and, in doing so, forgive myself for everything I wish I had of done and things I regret doing. She would say, 'do away with the shame of it all, life is so short'."

What would you say to the child you once were? What would they want for you, today?

Like all Melbourne Yoga Teachers and Yogis, I’m back to studio teaching from next week and I can’t even wait to see your flesh.🤣

For me it’s a graceful re-emergence from lockdown and my personal practice and guidance will hopefully reflect this intention.

Also a shoutout to Yoga Corner Melbourne and Radiant Sol Yoga for really stepping into offering longer, more immersive classes (75mins) so to offer their respective communities more time and opportunity to truly embody Yoga on, and ultimately off, the mat. I feel so aligned to this, remembering that in the UK and Europe standard classes are 90mins!

Also, the extra time doesn’t necessarily mean more chair poses! Rather a more integrative practice with time dedicated to pranayama, meditation, mantra and longer rest.

Full Moon Restore + Sound 🌕😴🎶🥣

When we planned this special event in the beautiful loft space of a few weeks ago, of course we had no idea we’d be going back into lockdown.😢

But “they” say timing is everything, which means (all going well) we will be coming out of lockdown in time for this!👇 And boy, won’t we need it! 😅

•••

Do join me at Radiant Sol in Port Melbourne, on the eve of the August full moon, for a nourishing two-hour masterclass incorporating restorative yoga, gentle somatic movement + pranayama, sound, and divine mantra.

MY HOPE FOR A NEW WORLD 💗

I’ve just completed the first week of Ram Dass' ‘Yoga of Service’ online course. And as with all new teachings, there were a few massive “aha!” moments for me as well as some seeds yet to be planted.

This right here 👇 has resonated with me the most, though.

These words help me to imagine a world where we each see past our prejudices and projections, to value the awe-inspiring beauty of every living being we encounter. Just as we would a flower.

This is a world in which enamour prevails, rather than judgement or the poison of aggression or division.

In this world, we foster a playful, harmless fascination for one another, demanding a deeper, more genuine enquiry.

I crave the lightness of this world and I know my contribution to realising it, is my continued inner work.

I believe that a shared intention of remembering our own loving Self (through spiritual practice), will create a world underpinned by mutual respect and admiration for all living beings.

I hope that one day we can all be together and grieve together, listen deeply as we hold space for one another and finally realise that every perspective and unique experience of this human curriculum is as valid as our own.

In the sanctuary of this sacred space, we can heal together and serve one another in a way that both loving and transformative.

I dream of a changed world, where we are bound together by Divine, Universal Love.

I am hopeful. Which is why I practice. Not just for me, but in selfless service (Seva) to all.🌷💕

Today marks the start of which is a wonderful initiative by Edgar's Mission Farm Sanctuary.

As a yogi, I believe that small and sacred acts of kindness can make a huge difference when done as a collective with a united intention.

And so, I've compiled a list of 10 ways you can supercharge your kindness to animals this week (and beyond!).

✨🙏 Guru Invocation 🙏✨

To chant this mantra, is to pay homage to our teachers and to our teachers' teachers. Honouring those that have helped to guide us through the human cirrculum and, of course, spiritually. Through it, we realise the cyclical nature life and take solace in knowing that nothing is permament. We also acknowledge that every experience, every conversation, every life challenge is a teacher, guiding us to learn and transform. Importantly, through it we bow down to the guru within - the inner soverign that already has all of the answers. We just have to know to ask it. ✨

If you'd like to explore the potency of chanting mantra, join me this Friday night through Yoga Corner Melbourne for a full moon Kirtan practice - where we will be chanting this mantra, and many more!

About Lydia

Hi, I’m Lydia and this is not about me. I am just the vessel through which the practices flow.

These Yogic practices are sacred to me and I am grateful to my teachers who helped me to see the light in the dark cave of my wondering.

But now it’s up to me to keep remembering that it’s there.

This is why I practice. Practice chanting the Name (of the Divine), gently moving my body and allowing my body and mind to rest.
