There were a lot of small actions that compounded to create this moment. There was a lot of challenge, a lot of pushing through limitations part of me wanted to believe, a lot of trust in the process and backing myself when doubt crept in.

It all pays off. ☺️ … and it’s only the beginning 🙌🏻

I have been contemplating the best way that I can help the flooded communities around Australia (as you know Trace!).. and I've now found what my first step in support is!
As an Author, I am donating a new signed copy to help rebuild the library in Lismore (plus some other books that my son has grown our of). It's a first step towards helping families to engage their creativity, connection and 'see' something else for a little while that might just bring a little piece of happiness when they read.
I encourage anyone who has any books in good condition to do the same. Don't underestimate the power of the small things that can be done. 😍

UPDATE: The response has been so amazing you good folks. If you haven't already posted your books please pause and see if you can create mini book sales in your neighbourhood and then donate the funds raised. Storage will quickly become a new challenge for the Lismore library. Gifting books to Lifeline will also help the flooded communities as well as many will be seeking help to cope with the mental anguish this trauma has created.... Getting these books directly to children who have lost all their books would be great but the logistics is tricky ATM.....given the recovery is going to take a long time.......and helpers and storage will be hard to find.
I am a serious book lover and my heart ached when I saw the destroyed books outside the flooded Lismore Library in Northern NSW. This message shows ways we can all help re stock their library.....hope you can help...just one new book will be such a gift!

Purchase a new book with your family and post it to Lismore Library to help them restock or donate funds directly to Lismore Council for their library.
