Ramsey Speech Pathology stands in solidarity with the Palestinian community and continues to advocate for a permanent ceasefire, an end to the occupation, and a free Palestine 🇵🇸

1.4 million Palestinians are currently sheltering in Rafah. This number includes more than 600,000 children who are disabled, sick, malnourished, traumatised, and injured. With Israeli forces seizing the Rafah crossing, Palestinians are trapped. There is simply nowhere else for them to go.

Don’t stop talking about Palestine 🇵🇸 Take action now:

- Contact your MPs and demand action from our government against the ongoing genocide in Gaza.

- Donate to humanitarian aid efforts and advocacy organisations.

- Attend a protest in your city.

- Sign petitions! Put pressure on our government to call for an immediate ceasefire and impose sanctions on Israel.

- Support the call for boycott, divestment, and sanctions (BDS) on Israel and companies that are complicit in apartheid. Visit the BDS website to learn about the companies that are profiting from the genocide of Palestinian people.

- Check your superfund! Do they invest in companies linked to illegal Israeli settlements? Do they invest in weapons and arms?

- Stay informed and keep talking about Palestine ✊🇵🇸

Welcome to our brand new happy place! 🥳

We’ve been loving the process of designing a clinic space with the preferences and needs of neurodivergent people in mind. And we’ve had the best time this week welcoming families in!

We hope you love our new therapy room as much as we do. 💖

You can find us in the Good Health Collective at 23a King William Rd, Unley SA 5061. 🙌

Neurodiversity is a natural and essential part of life. It’s also the framework within which we design our services and approach therapy.

We align our work with the social and human rights models of disability and understand that neurodivergent wellbeing stems from acceptance, authenticity, and autonomy ✨

Our supports are designed with the lived experience of neurodivergent people in mind and we advocate to protect and nurture neurodivergent identity.

The United States is experiencing a surge in anti-trans and anti-LGBTQIA+ legislation. And it’s not just the USA. These laws erase transgender people and violate their rights by denying access to basic healthcare, education, bathrooms, sports, legal recognition, and more.

We are deeply concerned by the bills being introduced that directly harm transgender and LGBTQIA+ people, who are some of the most vulnerable members of our society. We oppose any legislative efforts to erase transgender protections.

We stand in support of the transgender and LGBTQIA+ communities, who are deserving of the same rights, access, opportunities, safety, and respect as everyone.

Trans rights are human rights 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

The white stripe represents people who are transitioning, intersex, or identify as having a neutral or no gender].

At Ramsey Speech Pathology, we change lives, not people. We are unwavering in our approach that affirms and honours each and every neurotype and their own unique strengths and challenges.

We are driven by our values and provide therapy that is relationship-centred, not compliance-based, and that is gender-affirming, culturally sensitive, and trauma-informed.

[Image description: Title against a pink background with wavy lines reads, “What we stand for.” A list of our values is presented. What we stand for includes:
1. promoting self-autonomy.
2. facilitating authentic connection.
3. presuming competence.

Meet your therapist: Alice Ramsey (she/her) ✨

I’m a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist and founded Ramsey Speech Pathology in 2017, seeking a more neurodiversity-affirming approach to therapy.

As an openly neurodivergent person, I’m committed to providing a safe, validating, and holistic service to young people with unique and/or complex communication needs.

With a gentle and strengths-based approach to therapy, building trusting relationships with clients and their families is at the heart of what I do.

I’m also a massive nerd when it comes to speech pathology and you’ll always find me buried in the latest research and professional development opportunities! I’m dedicated to continually extending my knowledge and skills and I look to the neurodivergent community to inform and evolve my practice.

I also have a graduate diploma in writing and literature and love spending my free time reading, writing poetry, swimming, walking my dog, drinking tea, and having brunches with family and friends. ✨

Reach out today to see how we can support your child! 📞
