Advocacy is a core skill of the social work profession and has been since the profession’s very beginning. Social workers have an ethical and professional responsibility to make sure that social policy does not discriminate or disadvantage members of society. Advocacy is a service that aids people to liaise with organisations and individual professionals, allow ease of access to services
and remove roadblocks and issues that may arise when trying to access much needed services. Consultancy
Providing information and feedback to organisations and professionals in collaboration with clients to make sure they are having their needs met and to find ways to continue to improve services utilised by clients. This is only with clients written permission as confidentiality and right to privacy is very important. Therapy
Therapeutic support for Mental Health and Wellbeing, Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Domestic Violence, Social Isolation and Loneliness. 10 to 12 sessions are offered with reviews at sessions 6 and 12 to assess progress and if more sessions are needed. An assessment is completed in the first session to build rapport and gather information. Office Location
I do have a home office that is separate to my residence but still on the same property in Port Elliot. I can work with people in their homes which can be easier and more convenient for clients. All client information is confidential and kept under lock and key. I do have quite a large therapy space if people prefer to come to my home office.
