Low energy despite trying to eat well?
Lately, I’m seeing more people who are unintentionally (or intentionally) under-fuelling.
It can show up as:
– low energy
- poor sleep
- low stress resilience
– feeling flat throughout the day
– not recovering well
Sometimes it’s not about doing more — it’s about giving your body what it actually needs.
If this resonates, there’s a more supportive way to approach it.
If you’d like personalised support, feel free to reach out.

If your energy drops mid-morning or mid-afternoon…

I see this quite often — starting the day feeling okay, then hitting a slump around 10–11am or again later in the afternoon.

It’s easy to put it down to being busy or just needing another coffee ☕, but a lot of the time it can come back to how you’re eating across the day.

Things like:

- Not eating enough earlier in the day
- Long gaps between meals
- Meals that are low in protein

can all contribute to those energy dips.

Small, simple changes here can make a noticeable difference to how steady your energy feels

If this sounds familiar and you’d like help working through this in a more personalised way, you’re very welcome to get in touch. Or book a complimentary discovery call for a dedicated 15-minute chat. 🤍

Cholesterol is essential for normal body function.

It is required for the production of hormones such as oestrogen, testosterone, and cortisol, and plays a structural role in every cell membrane within the body.
Cholesterol is also involved in vitamin D synthesis.

Rather than being inherently harmful, cholesterol is a necessary component of normal physiology.
This is why simply labelling cholesterol as “good” or “bad” does not reflect what is actually occurring within the body.
Understanding how cholesterol functions within the broader context of health is important when interpreting results and assessing risk.

Follow along at Wren Nutrition for evidence-informed, practical nutrition support.

Many people assume that if their cholesterol is high, their risk of heart disease must also be high… and if it’s low, they’re in the clear.
But the reality is that cardiovascular risk is far more complex than a single number.
Total cholesterol alone doesn’t tell the full story. Your overall risk is influenced by multiple factors, including factors such as your metabolic health, inflammation, blood sugar regulation, fitness, and whether there is any plaque developing within the arteries.
Two people can have the same cholesterol level, but very different levels of risk.
Understanding the bigger picture matters.
If you’re interested in learning more about how nutrition and lifestyle influence metabolic and cardiovascular health, feel free to follow along here at Wren Nutrition.

But cardiovascular health is far more complex than a single cholesterol number.

Two people can have the exact same cholesterol level but very different cardiovascular risk profiles.

Understanding the bigger picture of your health markers helps create a clearer view of long-term cardiovascular health.

International Women’s Day
Many women are told that fatigue, weight changes, poor sleep, digestive issues, brain fog, or hormonal symptoms are simply part of getting older.
But many of these changes have real biological drivers.
Hormonal shifts, changes in muscle mass, metabolic health, stress, sleep, and nutritional status can all influence how women feel, particularly during midlife and beyond.
Supporting women to better understand their health and feel strong in their bodies is an important part of the work I do through Wren Nutrition.
Women deserve to feel heard, informed, and supported in their health at every stage of life.

Such a lovely evening bringing people together for the Healthy Hair From Within Masterclass on Monday night.

It was a pleasure collaborating with Annette at ASRI Hair Salon - Port Elliot, combining the hair and scalp perspective with the internal nutrition side to explore the connection between nutrition, internal health and hair wellbeing.

We were also incredibly grateful to the generous local businesses who contributed to the wellness goodie bags for our guests, which included vouchers, pasture-raised eggs, locally grown produce and more:

• Jetty Food Store
• Back Valley Farm
• Raw Bulk Wholefoods
• Gut Feeling Fermentation

Supporting local businesses and building community connections is something I really value, and it was wonderful to see people come together, ask thoughtful questions and learn practical ways to support their health.

Thank you again to everyone who came along and made the evening such a warm and engaging event.

I’m hoping to run more workshops throughout the year. If you’d be interested in attending a future session, or have a topic you would love to know more about, please feel free to send me a message or keep an eye out for updates here on Wren Nutrition.
