From November 1, you may see news about some GP clinics “returning to bulk billing.”
We want to be open and honest that this change will not apply to our practice.

At Virginia Medical Centre, we’ll continue as a mixed billing practice so that we can:
💙 Take the time to truly listen and explain your care
💙 Provide continuity with doctors who know you and your family
💙 Offer safe, thorough, and unhurried care — because your health deserves our full attention.

We understand that times are tough and cost-of-living pressures are real.

Sadly, the Medicare rebate doesn’t cover the real cost of providing quality care. We encourage you to share your feedback with your local federal member if you believe the rebate isn’t meeting your needs.

We regret to inform you that due to a network outage, we are currently unable to operate as usual and will be temporarily closed until the issue is resolved.

We understand the inconvenience this may cause and sincerely apologize for the disruption. Our team is working closely with our service providers to restore connectivity as quickly as possible.

We will be closed Friday the 29th and Saturday the 30th, and hope to be open again on Monday 1st of September.

Notice of Fee Adjustment – Effective 1st July 2025

We wish to inform you that, effective 1st July 2025, there will be an increase in our consultation fees.

This decision has been made in response to the ongoing rise in costs required to maintain the high standard of care we are committed to providing. Our fees reflect the operational costs of running a modern, efficient medical practice that adheres to best clinical practices, government regulations, and accreditation standards.

As part of this change, ALL our GPs will be adhering to our practice Private and Bulk Billing policy and full payment will be required at the time of your consultation.
We are committed to transparency and will ensure that detailed information about our updated fee structure is available both at the Medical Centre and on our website.
