COVID-19 weekly update – Friday 4 August 2023

In the seven days to 4pm Thursday 3 August, there were:
• 1,978 new cases, 1,084 positive rapid antigen tests (RATs) and 894 positive PCR tests.
• 20 lives lost

As at 4pm Thursday 3 August, there were:
• 725 people in hospital
• 17 people in ICU

Us parliamentarians rely on own words to persuade our peers, but we’re opening the floor to creativity.

Your one-minute film can be an animation, drama, music, or comedy - it’s up to you! 🎥

The finalists will be invited to participate in an awards night at the Parliament of NSW and the winning entry will receive a $250 cash prize!

Entries are open for NSW High school students from Year 7 to 12, and close Friday, 11 August 2023.
